Something I appreciate about these videos is understanding where a lot of people are coming from. Not only is it nice that you focus on making content that people can learn from, but honing your voice and making its mark on the community is very good. I appreciate how you articulate a lot of the stuff for us. I don't even consider myself a beginner anymore but I always love hearing what you have to say on these lists, meta or not. 😌

Yeah, these are super helpful. I'm just getting into the game and appreciate the theory behind actions more than actions themselves. Knowing when to defend board and when to go face is a really good insight.

Hi Josh, thank you for making this type of content! I just got into OP and recently found your channel. This is my first tcg and I have struggled with the little details , and nuances of playing, and I’ve definitely lost many matches because of it 😅 but people in the community like you have made this whole playing/learning process a lot easier!

34:10 IMO better play here is use Moria to replace the rested Jinbe. That puts Jinbe in trash, so Moria can immediately bring him back to hand. It also means less rested bodies for the opponent to swing into

Teach is a great card because the effect y may active every turn once for turn. Also, if you put on there weevil you draw 1 card, law st you bounce a card in hand, gecko you draw from trash, crocodile bounce cost 1 in hand... So the hand size remain good.

I think you can always boa first against Pluffy to have a 6k attack. You Boad after attack for 5 twice

Your issue with Redroc is valid until op09 promo buggy. Redroc is essential as well as maybe aa 9 cost mihawk

In the Reiju match, one combo to know with doffy is on 9 don you can play double boa and still get leader effect. So in that turn you could do boa, boa, leader effect -> Jinbe + Weevil/Boa (depending if you prefer the draw or the attached don on the active weevil)

Running into a lot of Vegapunk, Lucci, Enel, BY Luffy, and Jewelry Bonney. Vegapunk and Lucci are causing major problems for me.

1:27 into the vid “people already tired of Doffy… BDIF…” something like that. I’ll tell you this much, if not the fact that it’s a good deck, you getting tired of it will probably be cause you’ll see ALOT and I mean A TON of people playing it😅 like… out of a 5 round local… expect at least 4out5 rounds to go up against Doffy😅

When 8c Kid is on the field rested with a don attached, you can only attack him! It's his card effect so I could only swing at the Kid and not the Cavendish or leader in that situation.

I can't be the only one who thinks Pudding is the most toxic card to play against. It's lame that you just have to respect every blue deck like that. I'd take a Pudding ban over a Moria ban any day.
