I really enjoy all your videos, and I would have love if you could make more of them. I read in a comment that you got a new job and moved to a new country so now you don't really have a lot of time. So probably no more videos will come, but I just wanted to let you know that I think you are the best Dutch teacher on KZbin. Thanks! Don't worry, I'm doing well. I stopped uploading because I tried to move to a different country during the pandemic, which is as complicated as you'd imagine. Still trying to find time to work on these videos, which unfortunately take more than a full workday to produce (on top of a full time job)

Native Dutch speaker here: What Niels says, is correct. But, we don't take it too seriously in the Netherlands. Half the time, it does not really matter if you use OVT or VTT. Hence, half the time it does sound a bit weird if you do it "wrong". If you follow Niels, you will almost always do it right. Although, I must confess that I would have preferred "Ik ben gisteren naar Amsterdam geweest" instead of Niels' sentence "Ik was gisteren in Amsterdam".

Hi Severin -- not doing it for the money at all. I only get donations when I post a video, so I'm not helping myself by not making new videos!
