It´s not motivating listening in the beggining of the class that the subject is hard to understand, and it´s not even that hard, but besides that, it is a good class, Thanks and Congratulations!

Hey people, he says it's really hard so after you see it's not so hard you all feel good about yourselves. It's a psychological trick that helps you to learn. It's like when you answer an "Are we there yet?" question with "Oh no, we still have four more hours to go" when in fact it's only one. Trust your teacher.

So, writing commas and putting "and" isn't incorrect, right? But in American english they don't use any of this. Is that correct? Love your classes. Thank you!

Bro, English numbers more easier than Russian numbers, do not try to learn Russian it's hight level and it will take a long time to learn, then a lot of time to practice, even me - a native russian speaker get confusing when we talk about russian grammar.

Good examples, but you should never tell a student that what they will see is diccifcult or scary, or very bad. You should motivate students the opposite 🙄

Nope. It's reverse psychology. If you tell people something is hard and they see it's easy for them, they feel proud, which motivates them to go on.

@noel1582
@noel1582 7 жыл бұрын
432 = four hundred thirty-two * less than 1,000 numbers=> No 'AND' after 'hundred' (Canada&US) 13,620,432 = thirteen million six hundred AND twenty thousand four hundred AND thirty-two * more than a thousand numbers => plus 'AND' after every 'hundred' Basicaly, after 'million'=> No 'and' after 'hundred'=> plus 'and' after 'thousand'=> No 'and' I'm pretty sure the caption for 24,548,432 is wrong. There is no 'and' after 'twenty-four million five hundred'. Also the numbers in the review, the captions are wrong for some numbers. 8,942 => You say obviously 'eight thousand nine hundred AND forty-two'. But, it's caption shows that ' eight thousand nine hundred forty-two'. On the other way, 55,543=> You say 'fifty-five thousand five hundred forty- three'. You didn't say 'and' after hundred despite the number is more than thousand. I think you're Canadian. So, you mixed your way to British style. I understood it's about... 277,777=> You say no 'and'. 3,320,321=>You say 'and'. Is there no rule on it? One native British guy explained that 15,754: fifteen thousand, seven hundred AND fifty-four. So, using 'and' looks like almighty. If someone does not sound 'and', I would just think they are a Canadian or an American. Regarding hearing the number, entering 'comma' after each ' million' and 'thousand' is the easy way. However,1063 is 'one thousand AND sixty-three'. Try to write the number by hearing only it's spelled out. It's not sound like' ten thousand'. But, it's not' 1,63'. If there is no digit in hundreds, 'AND' is followed by 'thousand'. The bigger number is like this: ten million one hundred million one billion ten billion one hundred billion So, I understand the numbers in English is repeating 'one-', 'ten-', 'hundred-'. And,'thousand','million' and 'billion' are following those. However, in the international situation, rather, the place value is required. For example, 3,320,321 is pronounced as ' 3,3,2,0,3,2,1'. This way is more correct. The way that even Canadian would be confused would not be used in the situations that put correctness.
