Some people are not very good at small talk in their native language. I'm one of them, so I rarely do this and I don't like it when others talk to me. But when I lived in China I LOVED having small talks in Chinese or in English (neither of them is my native )

Yeah I think it depends on the culture, but we Americans love small talk! It’s good to know how to talk with Americans when we randomly start up a conversation with you…because if you are near us we will 😂

Thanks a lot Vanessa for your amazing tips on how to strike up a flowing, interesting conversation in English ❤. You're my favorite native English teacher, remember that forever. I know I can have a pretty small talk with an English-speaking person in a natural way without pressure, and I'd love to meet you somewhere within the US, someday 😊. I hope any stranger is polite and friendly with me when I have to getting involved into the American culture, because I think that making friendships is quite possibly even without realizing it. Though I'm not an outgoing person but everything is okay. Vanessa always encourages me to dive deeper into the real-world English because I'm still developing my language skills and she focuses on great methods or strategies for keeping on learning English and having fun with it.
