Hi Nick, It seems that I haven't commented your videos for a long time. In fact I have a question, what's the difference between Present progressive and present perfect progressive ? Thank you very much for your useful lessons. Good times

Hi Mohammed, sometimes there is very little difference (as in the two sentences you wrote under another of my videos), but sometimes the difference is important. I'm going to write some notes on this, but in the meantime, I think it's about the extent of time involved. "I'm looking for an answer" sounds as if it's happening now, and not for very long, whereas "I've been looking for an answer" sounds as if you have been looking for some time, perhaps a long time. So one is very much based in the present, and the other one stretches out into the past. That's a first thought, anyway. I hope it's helpful. Nick

Hi Dany, quite right, and thank you. I made a mistake at the beginning when I wrote "Is she is speaking French?" It should be "Is she speaking French?" I tried to correct it by putting an "oops!" on top, but it doesn't work very well. I might try and correct it a different way. All the best, Nick
