About the "ponem" word (22:03): it is most probably come from the Hebrew word "PANIM" meaning face. The word is pronounced indeed in a Yiddish accent "ponem"...

Great channel, I follow you whenever I can, it's very useful both for understanding and pronunciation. About "qui pro quo" In Italy it means misunderstanding. Originally it referred to medicines that could be given in place of others, now it means an exchange of something: people, data or news, due to a misunderstanding.

Hang on = wait a minute Hang on, someone is trying to get through. Hang on a bit. Someone is calling for me at home. Oh, I do feel wonderful on my vacation! Is it comfortable to live here! I am so lucky. - Mind if I open a window? - I don't mind at all. - Mind if I smoke near you? - I really do mind. Criteria - plural You should follow all criteria from a list. Must have been I must have forgotten my flashdriver at home. I must have submitted the wrong form. I must have overslept significantly. The ever impressive = always impressive The ever impressive me is here. What can I do for you, honey? All of a sudden = out of the blue = unexpectedly All of a sudden, he started shouting at me with no explanation. Out of the blue, she began hugging and kissing me. She really has missed me a lot. Walk out on somebody = to abandon someone in need of support or help Don't even try to walk out on me, fellow. Not this time.
