I spent 6 weeks in the summer of 1997 rowing a small boat around a large lake near Outokumpu every evening with a book and some beer - pure heaven! I agree with you on chanterelles - delicious! - and the blueberries too. One of my colleagues was always delayed and would appear out of the forest with his mouth stained blue, saying that he had a problem with some equipment, but we knew the real reason for his delay!

It can be, but Finns are used to it since we grow up with it. Many people definitely sleep more in winter, though.
