@@joelvermillet Stop gatekeeping. (I've noticed French in particular love to do that with their language.) The truth is that French is essentially incomprehensible when spoken quickly, even to natives. Natives rely on memorizing conversation patterns, verbal and non-verbal cues to communicate, almost never understanding singular words rather processing the "flow" of the sentence. So if someone needs the conversation to be slowed down then you shouldn't try to gaslight them into thinking that they're doing something wrong. Similarly when having a conversation in real life you can ask people to repeat and slow down.

These are fantastic videos, but for many beginners like me who hear these dialogues for the first time, it's just way, way TOO FAST, providing no opportunity for repetition or practice. Or even to check out the new words before new ones appear! It's a constant race, like trying to catch a train that goes off before you could step onto the gate! Really, I'm out of breath, and it doesn't help to read the text first before watching these videos. French is a difficult language requiring the engagement of practically all of one's senses and testing every skill -- speaking, listening, writing, reading and comprehension. It's not humanly possible for beginners to do this while trying to catch every new sentence, every new spelling, every new vocab, every new sound...not to mention the grammar rules! Just not! But thank you just the same.
