Yes My sister was tan she was bullied she was constantly tortured at school by her classmates and teachers . She was like tomboy no attention was given to her she wanted to be white . She is now beautiful pale preety slim and with long hairs and everyone now are suddenly attracted to her .it matters 🙂

i don't know much about her but if all her achivements are about ig she has it all cause she is good looking.(looks matter at points even if no one likes to accept it) that confidence came from her evenly spreaded vitiligo. someone like this is not actually a representation of vitiligo.yes she has been through a lot back in the days but now for the "fair skin obsessed" india..her skin is a blessing.i would rather like to see someone with actually having uneven skin and talking about these things (suffering n etc) .for eg-karl rocks wife.for someone pretty like her (now) it's a bit easy to grow on ig.it's so hard and took years for people with uneven vitiligo or even with acne needs years after years to grow.

I have Vitiligo for 26 years, this is amazing, loved every bit, i have been the EMCEE head and have always been active socially(it's been tough) but this struggle has made me so much more empathetic.. also feel that Vitiligo has been my strength... @Ranveer love your show... Sir u are absolutely right. I know 3 people who have vitiligo and they all long for companionship and love from people. They treat ppl sweetly . I can tell that their jolly nature is because they have been judged ,discriminated in past and that made treat ppl with compassion. Because most other ppl aren't as friendly as them. They even give hugs to other people they know.

My cousin sister who is 20+years older than me has Vitiligo. Our family looks up to her because of her achievements. I once asked her "Didi what is your greatest achievement besides a PhD from Oxford Univ."? prompt came the reply " An Indian delegate representing a foreign government gave a lecture at the UN at Geneva in French dressed in a saree. Aastha kudos to you at your achievements at this young age the sky is your limit. Wishing you all the best!

I belong to a very large by size but extremely conservative city. One of my closest friends from the school days had this and I know how miserable his life was. It was not just people from the outside world but his own family treated this guy like he was some sort of a freak. To be honest, the guy was really really smart at academics and had a very very pure and soft heart. we used to dream about becoming aerospace engineers back in the days. People looked at him and saw his patches, hesitated to touch him, asked their kids to stay the hell away from him. Today he is a humble mechanical engineer perusing his passion. I am so glad to see Aastha becoming a powerhouse that she is, more power to you. And thanks Ranveer, for becoming the mentor you've become for many of us. Just hope that I could work with you too.

I have seen most people with vitiligo are kind and humble to others. Because they have always been judged and treated bad by others. It's like they long for love . Or sometimes they are reserved and quiet /shy. I have seen that it also runs in genetics . I saw 3-4 brothers in Delhi metro once sitting on the same large seat together . They all had vitiligo. I knew one father and and son with it.

I am 33 old young women...I am having vitiligo from last months....earlier I was having worst nightmares...I use to cry a lot due to vitiligo.....I have developed continuous headache because I started to think too much about my looks....I still use to think that what I will say to my inlaws or other relatives when they will see my white patches....but then I started yoga for very first time in my life just to throw away these negative thoughts because I assume myself to be much more than my beauty and trust me when you will accept yourself then only you will be happy with any disease or disorder.I already have rheumatoid arthritis which is painful and now I have vitiligo too but trying to remain positive about yourself is the best way to fight not only with disease but with all the toxic people who are always there to comment something bad about u it's just new addition to their negativity

I never felt weird whenever I saw person with vitiligo because my mother has it. So for me it was just normal. As a child I used to think why my mother looked different the others but I never felt weird about it. Then when grew up I find out the name of disease and why it happens. And also found out a fun fact that Michael Jackson also had vitiligo.

I have suffering from vitiligo since 2014 when I was in 10th class. In first 2 years I had faced difficulties for accepting it and had been so depressed. Although I have still many patches on my hands, legs, necks. I am trying to ignore them but sometimes I feel inferior when somebody used to discriminate me due to patches on my skin. It took my whole prime age (15 to 23 and still continue) i used to hide them by long hairs(neck), full sleeves shirt, jackets, never wore shorts😶 bcz I hate people questioning and suggesting some cure as like mene to kabhi treatment karwaya hi nhi ho. I am now used to it and almost accepted it but my parents are still worried about me I have seen them crying just for my concern. I have lost already many opportunities due to it ab ye cure ho bhi jaye to kya he🙂

Time changes everything.. i was an alcoholic.. chain smoker .. went from 80 kilos to 125 kilos.. had no friends.. suicidal thoughts.. but ha .. i had friends who used to drink with me, take money and praise me and stuff 😂 times have changed.. Astha... It's good that ur patches are even now and nobody can tell it whether u hv or not but I know people who have Vitiligo and they are very depressed, I think u should form a Society or something so that people can join and it can relax them... I also faced the nightmare of having Vitiligo some 8 years back but it was a small patch and we treated it completely with the help of homeopathy.
