If I'm going to lose a game, I'd rather it be my first, because then I get to spend the rest of the event with zero pressure and I can just have fun no matter what happens.

I think it depends on the goal. If you're aiming for fun win or lose, then absolutely. But if you're aiming for excellence, it just puts you on a different track.

Like most games I tend to enjoy, the skill ceiling is sky high at first. But the pay off once you git gud is worth it.

Personally I tend to be fully on "no longer stress mode" after that first loss I feel much more relaxed over the games from there on out.

True true, though at a GT you can end up in "midtable madness" where some of the saltiest players lurk.

I know this doesn't apply to you guys, but it was nice to focus on one goal for this RTT (scoring better) which I did (91 -84 -95). Now to start putting that together with the rest of the lessons I've learned over the last two months :D Even going 1-2 still learned a ton.

We all start somewhere! What's important is the progress. The overall level of play has also just really improved locally in the past couple of years.

First is the worst, second is the best, third is the one with the treasure chest.
