Could you list a few models of boats that have "keel protected" props? Thanks, for the video!

Trawlers, like Monk, Grand Banks, CHB, and some "picnic" style like Legacy, Hinkley. Also lobster style....

Pretty much anything N/A and top speed of 9 knots.

Most single engine "lobster" style boats have a fully protected prop and rudder with a full keel. The prop shaft eminates from the back of the keel. Many of those boats can also cruise in the mid to high teens. My Albin 32+2 Command Bridge is such a boat. Comfortable cruise 16 knots at 2500 RPM, about 75% power. In one hour, I can cover twice the miles an 8 knot boat can. Wanna go slow and sightsee, just pull the throttle back and go slow. Yes, I have a larger diesel engine with a turbo. It will cost a little more to repair, but religious maintenance will mitigate that. I like the options...😊. And yes, everyone runs aground eventually...hahaha! Think of it as a "boat tax."
