Here in case of Nehmen 'e' changes to 'i' which I understood but 'h' is also changing into 'm' why?
@LearnGermanOriginal6 жыл бұрын
Irregular verbs change their stem on conjugation. Nehmen belongs to the group of verbs where e changes to i - you will get the hang of it with time :) there is no such rule where h changes to m.
@DankeDirHindi6 жыл бұрын
@@LearnGermanOriginal then why 'h' changing into 'm'??

Hey Monika, in German, is it acceptable to ask if someone is reading a book by saying "liest ein Buch?" instead of having to include the subject... "liest du ein Buch?" Also, is it possible to casually ask if someone is reading... "liest?" Thanks as always for your help. :-)
@LearnGermanOriginal6 жыл бұрын
Hi Johnny, "Liest du ein Buch?" is the correct question. What you might have heard, is a slang, some people say "Lieste ein Buch? oder Haste Zeit?" But this is not "Hochdeutsch" Just asking "Liest" is wrong. You are welcome!

I am enjoying the classes, they are very well organized, but the background music is very disturbing for me, especially when I am using earphones.
@pjafnemanus86784 жыл бұрын
In the conjugation of "nehmen" for "du" and "er/sie/est", the verbstamm changes from "nehm" to "nimm". The change of 'e' to 'i' is according to the rule. Is the change from 'h' to 'm' a rule or an exception for this word only? Vielen Dank!
