Flasche - the a is not pronounced with a long " a " Heiße - the ß is pronounced as a sharp s also known as scharfes sz in German. Hope that helps. (I am a Native German speaker)

vowel is not prounounced 'wowel' but 'fovel', indeed w if 'v' in german. The s in german is 'z', and the ss tha equals the B esszet is the actual 's'
