The big question I have here is... why is the logo facing the wrong way? By flipping it, not only would you have the ‘dragon element’ but the curvature then matches that of a ‘D’. It also makes much more sense to do this - that way it’s looking at the writing with pride, not looking away with shame. And if you still don’t agree with this point, check other logos that have a directional sense to them - for example the Twitter bird. They all tend to face left to right because that’s in tune with the way we read and translates to a sense of moving forward. Any thoughts or comments on this?

I disagree. Contrary to what you said, many iconic animal logos face left rather than right to counter the direction of the type. Puma, Jaguar, Playboy, Peugeot, Polo, Crocks, Camel, Ferrari, Polo, JAL, American Eagle are just a few examples. The direction of the animal isn't necessarily important compared to the imagery itself. In this case, the logo works as is in my opinion. Please do some basic research before saying something's in the 'wrong' direction.

Just hear his imput on "how much you charge for a logo?" And what factor depends on what you charge for it! Do you charge your logo for time or value??? It depends on who do you sell it! If it's a small store it won't worth the same as if you sell it to a big corporation like Nike for instance even if the logo is tat simple to draw! Would have done this with stroke-widths and konvert to fills and use the negative space as a stroke too. (Object/Path/Move Path - hope it's correct in the u.s. version) The majority of the roundings I would have done with the edges-tool and typing in the correct value for the rounding. There are always many ways in Illustrator. One tipp: Align the guides to the ancor points: Drag the guides directly to the ancor points and they will snap. (According to your settings of course). And use x, shift x, , (komma) and # as shortcuts for the fills. I (type i) is the eyedropper-tool. Anyway a great tutorial for combining creative techniques. All thumbs up!! For all the guys out there learning how to design: Of course it's not that easy as it seems. There were tons of decisions in it and you probably didn't notice. Experience is the key and you will get faster with it as you train your mind to foresee the outcoming of your decisions. Andy, ACI (Adobe Certified Instructor)

Yeah, of course it's your video and I didn't want to lecture and I get your point. Anyway, I do some videos for my trainings too. They are not as professional like yours, they have another intension. I use Camtasia as a screen-recording-tool and it records some of the keystrokes too. I have the prob that it doesn't record single keystrokes like "i". It records Strg + G for example. What do you use as a screen-recording-tool? And what kind of audio-tools are you using? I still use Audition for optimizing the level.
