From my perspective, institutions can move a stock price in their favor because of their vast capital. But they need retail investors to fomo or exit positions to make money off the retail traders. They basically feed off retail. I also think they manipulate stock price to make money on options contracts as there is heavy leverage there. They might lose money on stock trading and moving the price but make money on trapping option traders and forcing retail out of their trapped positions

Trading is fun, I enjoy trading all thanks to Con. Edwin Earl, 2 years ago I left my job of 8 years to invest in forex and then I came across Edwin. He was willing to trade and teach a new investor like me the pattern he uses to make constant profits, the profits i make trading with Edwin Earl does not make me miss my previous job.

great video Anthony - to be honest, the only way to learn is to spend time in front of the screen and watch how price moves before the open, after the open and how it reacts to levels and then the volume at the level. Much of it is about pattern recognition as the same patterns occur over and over again, but it always has to be in the context of the higher time frame, key levels - prior day high, low and close etc and the time of day. Keep the videos coming!

Look also for NJAT "not just a trade" and the RIMC Structure explanation. Here on KZbin, these guy and what they say and show line up, so i see both as leghit, they show easy entry and target rules. Iam at the same point at that you are, still searching and learning. So these are the best structural explainers i got so far.

Many thanks for such a very well presented and educational video ...I very recently brought shares in a company called Petra Diamonds ( slightly less than 1.5 pence ) in which until last year seemed to be on the point of bankruptcy but now have much better all round fundamendals ...From my understanding over half the shares are owned by institutions at supposedly more than double the price for the shares than what I have paid ( though I cannot find absolute proof off this )in what was to a large extent a debt for equity swap ...The share price has had a very minor slide ( just a few % points ) since I have been in but I have been having anxiety whether I should sell out or stay and except it may go a lower still ...But I was also wondering what effect the institutions would have on the value of the share ....Your video has made me stop and think it is not just about what the share price could be worth next week but maybe what it could also be worth next year as there is institutional involvement ....Once again Many thanks for your interesting and helpful video in considering my own situation ... Norman

I'm a bit confused. First, the stop orders you drew as dots are buy orders. If institutions want to buy they have to exploit sell orders. Second, institutions do not use market orders since market orders do not guarantee an entry price. They use limit orders. Third, the are scientific articles showing that in the last few years HFT encompass the majority of trades. I feel that your excellent explanation could have fit 50 years ago, not today. I understand that you need to make things simple for the folks, but is there a chance that you make a video with the real explanation of how trade works? Please accept my criticism as I'm genuinely curious. And thank you for your videos.

Your analysis of institutional trading practices contains several inaccuracies and is largely unhelpful for retail traders. For instance: At 8:19, you state that "institutions were liquidating potential losses," which is unclear and lacks context. At 8:43, the phrase "they sold more client money" is nonsensical. Institutions execute trades on behalf of clients, and unless the client requests a sale, there’s no reason for them to sell assets. At 9:55, you describe the market as "overbought" at the top and "oversold" at the troughs, which misrepresents the terms, as it implies a range-bound market rather than broader market dynamics. At 10:35, your explanation of sell orders is incorrect. Institutions generally execute large orders based on client instructions, often via limit orders or spread over a specified timeframe. Suggesting that institutions know market direction implies unrealistic foresight assumption. At 11:18, the phrase "they make these trades at value" is meaningless and the term "value" should be clarified. At 16:19, you incorrectly state that stop-losses are predictable, when in reality, this information is not predictable, except in cases where brokers sell it to institutions. In conclusion, your understanding of how institutions trade appears to be limited and false....
@peterp47532 жыл бұрын
Here's the proper education mate...Institutional traders don't even look at the price charts and they don't care where the stock prices are going. They're always hedging their bets, meaning, they play both sides of their trade. All they looking at is volatility, that's it.
@anthonybeardsell12002 жыл бұрын
Yes, volatility and value. Thanks

The markets definitely aren't fair. There should be a limit on how much money you can put into the market at once. Having billions of dollars to move the market yourself is a lot like insider trading. You KNOW when the market will move, because you're the one moving it.
