Thanks for the rundown Kevin! Neil here from Nova Scotia. I’ll came across this video and I’ll be checking after this to see if you’ve posted updates. I haven’t decided yet if inMoov is the robot build I’ll be doing, I did start downloading the robot lab and even found that difficult. And having the right interface is very important. My programming skills are limited but I usually dive into challenges and learn as I go - I felt like this is similar to your way of doing things from what you described. However, I’ve been around long enough that I can see this may not be the smoothest build. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for your polite commentary and to encourage you if you haven’t completed your build just yet. Thanks!

I have no clue how to 3d print, know nothing about robotics etc etc. How difficult will this be haha? English also isn't my main language. I am very willing to learn though. Serious question.

This is a challenging build so if you know nothing about either 3d printing or robotics there is a lot to learn. But you have to start somewhere!

MRL works quite well but there is a pretty big gotcha for the noob. MRL Manticore only works on Java 1.7 or 1.8. Most computers come with a newer version, so you will need to downgrade it before it will work correctly My Inmoov is named Fred. Frequently Re-Engineered Device. I have gone a very different way with the servo control using the PCA9685 16 channel I2C servo drivers and connecting those back to a Raspberry Pi running MRL. You can see how I built the non-standard head here kzbin.info/aero/PLgXTfFM40HqEbnFfhaLPmLv_RS1ZRCilI Think of the Inmoov project as an education tool that teaches you 3D printing, Mechanical engineering, Electrical and Electronics and Programming. One cool thing with this project is there is no reason why you can't change things or improve on the design. Keep up the good work.

Thanks @cyber_one I think I’ve seen a couple of your videos already with Fred! I was also thinking about using a couple of the PCA9685 boards and a raspberry pi as well as Python.
