Buddy you don’t have to be calving in the middle of winter calve the first of May

@landry2997 you do if you want to sell 800 + lb calves in January, or you sell registered bulls and need them to be ready for the majority of growers.

@@ONEILLOPS We just have a commercial cow/calf operation of 800 pairs so we can’t register the calves, although most of the bulls we have are registered pharo bulls are what we like

@@ONEILLOPS Exactly. Calve them out early then the calves are old enough to go out to pasture and I don't have to keep the cows that are close to calving close to the barn and have to feed them when the cows can feed themselves.

And we are trying to fight a lot of the laws they're trying to pass. A lot of us up here R dependent on it Some of us still get our everyday checks to pay bills from trapping and hunting.
