@ExcelForFreelancers Жыл бұрын
Hi Frances, thanks so much. I really appreciate that. I have lived outside the US for 18 years, so I think it has been important for me to speak English without slang in order for people to understand me. The 'C' in MSOC stands for Component in the Microsoft Office Component library. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

Thank You SO much Randy for this lovely tutorial! I worked on this with some little changes and it went on just so seamlessly well with your incessant guidance. But I would like to know after making these tabs, how will I keep a track of Gen Info, Time and earning History for many employees. If I choose an employee name from Gen Info tab, the rest of the tabs could show all Time Clock and Earning related to that specific employee. Hope you get what I am saying. Would love to see your take on this. Thanks in advance mate!!!

Hi Kunalj, you can just use a drop down list of an employee above all the tabs. When a new employee is selected, all of their information is then filled it. I teach all of this in my Employee Manager Series on my channel here: kzbin.info Thank you for your Likes, Shares & Comments. It really helps.

This was absolutely fabulous! Took awhile to get it going but once I did, it started coming together nicely. Only problem I have is now when I click on a tab, it pulls up the screen outside of where it should and I have to "pull it in" so to speak like you did in this video,(you had to slide it back over) but you had to only do it once, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. But otherwise, it all worked. Thank you for such a detailed video
@ExcelForFreelancers5 жыл бұрын
Hi Stephanie thanks very much. I am really glad you liked the training. You can automate the scroll, horizontally or vertically. So you may want to add a last line of code to pull the screen back to the column (or row) that you want. Something like this: Activewindow.Scrollrow=1 or Activewindow.Scrollcolumn = 1 Just change 1 to whatever column or row you want

Thanks A Lot Randy !!!!! This Is Great 👍 This tutorial help us lot. I have created the same macros for 22 tabs, almost everything is fine though I am experiencing bit glitch while jumping from last tab to first tab. Display shows unknown range of cells ( Similar as in this video @ 22:12, when you click on first tab its slide away ). Is there any solution to get rid of this issue. Many Thanks. :)

Great tutorial. But how can we use scroll bars on each tab results?
@ExcelForFreelancers5 жыл бұрын
I there, you should be able to use scroll bars as long as the columns are hidden that you do not want displayed. Vertical scroll bars would not have any effect and you could freeze the top set of rows to keep the tabs visible. I hope this helps. @ExcelForFreelancers5 жыл бұрын
I would double check that your "With Sheet1" (or whatever sheet you have is correct) The code looks right as long as your shape name is correct (Mostly likely you are missing the With sheet above, but you can also add the Sheet name to the line to check like: Sheet1.Shapes("nettoon").Visible = msoCTrue I hope this helps. Hey Randy Unfortunately I can't upload macros to the server, the spreadsheet has to transfer info to other software. Love that tab trick, it would solve a problem I have atm, with too much info on the one sheet. Ahh well... I downloaded the dynamic drop down sheet, looks great. How you getting that two toned background color?
@ExcelForFreelancers6 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin, Thanks very much for your comment and sorry your server does not allow macros. The two tone background color is created when you right click any cell, go to Format, then the Fill Tab, Then choose Fill Affects and use Two colors. This allows you to chose any two colors giving you a gradient affect. I hope this helps.

Hi all of the data in the cells is just sample data that i put there before I started the video. Its just cells that I typed into. I hope that helps. All the data is there already. I just hide some columns and show other columns with VBA code.
@bm57636 жыл бұрын
When the other columns are hidden as in the code, excel automatically realigns the columns you have chosen to show. This means you need to have the same width of the columns for the data to fit in the content area of the tabs
