You should get the shutter, i have it and it is amazing plus its got a better finish than the dv888

I would only recommend the DV888 over the Shutter if you are looking for an undersized yoyo. Otherwise I would recommend the Shutter.

The shutter is a larger yoyo, whereas the dv888 not a full size yoyo. I personally like the shutter better, but u should switch the spec bearing into kk or center trac.

Do I have to use silicon stickers on my duncan metal drifter to make it unresponsive or just put in a center trac bearing and use the friction sticker?

Does a metal yoyo sleep longer? Because I have a yyf velocity and it sleeps for a few seconds

The Velocity should be able to sleep for over a minute in unresponsive mode with a straight and powerful throw. In general, however, metal yoyos do sleep longer than plastic yoyos.

I'm having a really hard time trying to get the basic ladder mount. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but the little triangle in the middle is upside down when I do it. Any tips?

Since the mount is rather complex it is very difficult to diagnose without being there in person. I do know we tried hard to put in every tiny detail we could, so hopefully watching the video a few more times will help you sort out the problem.

I am currently working on the first few steps of this trick, however what I am having the most trouble with is the step right after getting into the ladder mount. Instead of getting stuck on the back string when swinging through the loop, I get stuck on the front string almost every time. When I try to swing the yoyo farther back, I usually hit both strings. I can make it through the gap sometimes, but usually I get stuck. Any suggestions?

Now I'm getting stuck at this part (5 min 40 seconds into the video). When I pop the yoyo off of the string, It doesn't look right when I compare it to the video. I have too much slack coming off of my left hand. I think I'm missing something here

Most likely the string is just pushing into the sides of the yoyo too much killing the spin. It could also indicate that you need a more powerful throw.

+Aditya Suresh It may be that your throw is not powerful enough, but more likely it means that you are landing the yoyo onto the strings while the strings are crooked, so that they push against the side of the yoyo.
