unfortunately, that lecture was not recorded, but I will try to make this for you. If u can have reference sequence file and the sequence file of your data, you can comfortably compare it, online using NCBI tools, or within the basic software like serial cloner and SnapGene.

Also, if a chromosome has a total lenghth 200 and gene A is located in chr bases between 20-40 bases and anothether B gene in 40-60 then does it mean gene B is downstream?

If the direction of our desired gene is left to right and we zoom out them can we say that genes present on left side is upstream?
