Hi Speak Life Garden Homestead and Permaculture. Glad you like the videos, thank you for watching! If you left the flower close to the base you might end up with a pumpkin that does not have enough room to grow. You wouldn't want a giant pumpkin growing on top of the base!

Hi Here We Mow Again! Our advice is to either put a havahart trap next to your plant in hopes of trapping it, or situate chicken wire around it. Hi film populer, when you cover the vine, as the video shows, you must leave 6 inches for the vine to keep on growing out. So if you cover the trunk entirely it will not be able to expand and your pumpkin plant wont be able to grow larger.

Unless you rip it off and bury it separately yes, if not you must still bury it and remove soil every now and then
