I sewed 11 black, lion-head shank buttons onto my blue pirate/Steampunk coat with ease due to your video. Thanks!

Thank you! Was just able to sew 4 buffalo nickel buttons on my wife's pea coat (to match the ones on my hat). Very straight forward and easy to understand instructions.

This is an absolutely brillant video. It is my defacto video for sewing shank buttons - I've advanced massively now. Thanks again - better than the sewing course I am doing !

My mom sent me the link. I simply love it. It's so relaxing and classy. I was always the one doing all the buttons in the house, since I learned in the Canadian Forces. Ah memories...

Thank you so much for this excellent video tutorial. Very clear instructions and HD video. I have just successfully sewn on two shanked buttons for the first time in my life, without tears of frustration!! Thank you ever so much.

Awesome video! Easy to follow and thorough. I was able to sew back a button on my coat the first time I tried this.

As a 70 year old male rank beginner, I watched a couple of other videos and even I could tell, “This won’t hold!” The loops around the stitches taken at the end allow the button more freedom, while stressing the thread less. Well done.

do you have a method that leaves the button a bit more flush with the fabric?

Is there a trick so ye don't need to rethread the needle for every button? I've got eight buttons still to go.

Knotting the thread certainly does not need to be such a magic trick. I would have had 15 threads knotted in the time it took you to pull that needle out between your fingers. Puleeeeeeeeeeeeeeze! lol
