If your message is not a smiling thumbs up, You're doing GREAT message, you may HAVE to say it. When going 90 mph towards a cliff, some don't want to hear about the cliff. But if that's your assignment, you HAVE to give it.

Yes especially with divorce death or dating - I just learned that. Having said that sometimes someone is being quite manipulative and threatening but using plausible deniability principles and in some cases maybe it’s not our place to judge that too, totally #depends!

@@Mercury-Wells 😜 same maybe but the two that I prophesied death for really were trying to isolate, psychologically and publically abuse me etc. I might do it again. Only if I get firm or repeated yes from divine source - multiole signs from the universe … anyway good luck and love!

'We are not here to give lessons; we are here to learn lessons'. Now, THAT sums up the one most important message humanity needs these days! Everyone is peddling some brand of 'expertise' online which often amounts to confirmation bias and every other logical fallacy, the comments sections can be an invitation to be eviscerated by anyone who does not agree with someone else and thus places then on 'knowledge trial', and the basic skill of developing judiciousness..... tragically departing. Thank you Dan! Always!

My mom has always been slightly disappointed that I am not perfect. She keeps giving 'helpful' hints of how I should change to be closer to perfect. I'm nearly 50.
@TheWizardOfWords
@TheWizardOfWords Жыл бұрын
Well it's your mom, Maia, so you might view it as I do when my mother rides me about my VERY FEW faults :). I let it slide. Only with my parents, mind you, I let it slide. Be grateful she's only SLIGHTLY disappointed. Now seriously, when she gives you helpful hints, you might say (remember, now, this is only for your mother): "Hmmmmm, I'll give that some thought, Mom." Then think about it. And most probably----forget about it. If she brings it up again, tell her you're still thinking. As you might guess, I believe mothers should be cut a huge amount of slack, provided they are coming from a loving place, as most art. Misguided, perhaps--but loving. Your mother sounds as though she wants you to be the best version of yourself, and sometimes when they think that way, they also think they know what the best version of yourself would look like. And of course--they don't. :)

And she pulled out all of her stupid “experience” over me even though I’ve been at the company for two years more than her. I’m the one who got the talking too. That is interesting, I never thought about that before, but you are right about our family members getting the worst side of us. We do treat acquaintances better than our own family . That is sad because it's always our family members that have our backs when it comes down to needing help and nobody else cares. Family is important. The problem I have with my mom is I don't like her calling my daughter names and I don't like how she mocks my daughter and swears at her too ! My daughter is 11 and my mom can't deal with the teenage attitude. So I have distanced myself from her. We hardly communicate. My daughter does not want to go over to her house anymore on the weekends when I have to go to work. and my mom doesn't really want her over anymore . My daughter is a really good kid and I don't want her around negativity. So when I go to work on the weekends, my daughter stays home alone. I work 12 hour and 16 hour shifts on the weekends. That's a long time for her to be home alone. My mom is 71 and if anything happened to her I know I would have regrets. I want to repair the relationship, but my mom is stubborn. I'm the type of person who doesn't hold grudges. But my mom sure does. I don't foresee my mom treating my daughter any better . She has said some horrible things to my daughter . She called her the B word. Fu__ing brat , and even said , "I'm not your grandma any more ." So the relationship between my mom and I is damaged. But in an emergency I would be there for her, and in an emergency she would be there for me. The reason I work so much is because rent in Arizona is expensive! My rent is 1,400 dollars a month and that is considered cheap. I also have to pay for dance and tumbling, and my daughter is in a private Christian school so I have a monthly payment to the Christian school, that her scholarship didn't cover. Plus other bills. I don't focus on debt because that will attract more debt. I tell myself that I have plenty of money and that I am blessed financially and that I lack nothing. Miraculously with my mind set, everything gets paid and I have the strength and stamina to work 7 days a week and I never get sick. God takes care of me and blesses me and keeps my health so I can keep going and going and going. Once I am a teacher again , instead of a parapro, I should not have to work so much and I will make more money . Plus that is my hearts desire to teach elementary school. Now that I have been through your training, and I put it into practice; along with being mindful of my thoughts and realizing that I am the creator of my life through my thoughts, everything is falling into place. The universe is aligning itself and I am in harmony with it and it almost feels supernatural like I am going through a matrix while my life is unfolding and doors are opening and I never thought I would be HAPPY and EXCITED about life again .I am only choosing to have happy thoughts . if I get sad or start feeling bad I immediately change those feelings and get rid if them. I live my life like I am not missing anything and that I already have everything. I think it and so it will be. It's being mindful. I recently read that we think that we are humans with a spiritual side . But really we are mostly spiritual beings living a human existence. I got side tracked, but I do want a good relationship with my mom . ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Things that can be said in a conversation to a person that does this kind of thing...tattle tail or go crying to the supervisor because they are not sure of themselves, are they concidered a false profit? I have a friend that speaks with a serious vocal fry accent that makes them sound apathetic and negative. I have tried to communicate to them how this affects their professionalism, but it seems as though they are determined to ignore me. They represent us in meetings and often with people who impact our potential. Others have brought it up to me. Can you make a video about vocal fry? I know this is an accent the person affects on purpose thinking it makes them more interesting to listen to as they don’t do it all the time and when we discussed it they mentioned as much. I love them, but it makes me want to shove ice picks through my ears. Think Paris Hilton as a two pack a day smoker only more jaded and slightly belittling. Any advice appreciated! I tired recording a meeting and having impartial folks give us input and all of them mentioned it in polite ways. After the meeting this person’s take away was, “It made me stand out!” :)

Some people get their self-esteem by belittling or "teaching" others because they haven't learned that the only way to teach is by example, and belittling others is a terrible example to be setting. Some people feel good only when they're being negative. Go figure! You are obviously a do-er, Kuunami, and would know that if a part is defective--you replace the part. :)

I find it so interesting that you change your words so carefully.But then knew blaspheme jesus's name

I worry more about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit--which is the only blasphemy Jesus addresses. (In other words, we should be walking in the Spirit of Love.). Taking the Lord's name in vain is a commandment given in the Old Testament; it is not something Jesus references in the New Testament. I don't dismiss it; I just don't give it a lot of thought.

Missed some of this earlier when it premiered so returned to watch in full, and can see I'll need to revisit. The messages in this video are profound - there's much to digest here, and lots of unlearning/learning to do. And on a practical level, I don't know if indexing your vids is new or it's just that I've missed it before - but I think it's really helpful, & a generous way of addressing the varied needs of your followers. So glad I found your channel. Thanks, as always, both to Dan & TeamDan.

Love your channel but in the spirit of helpfulness please put something on the bottom shelf of the bookcase behind you. It's too top heavy and distracts the artist in me. 😍 Wallpaper is great!!

It’s a little bit hard to go back to that person (which whom called you their closest friend repeatedly) you knew for 14 years which whom you never had one conflict with till that 15th year when they severely over reacted from a critical statement, a huge mistake on my part when I said didn’t appreciate the “drama” they brought to me at a particularly inappropriate time. I found out that was so unforgivable that they had to practically set up our whole relationship with C4 dynamite and severely blast it to smithereens with huge loaded accusations out of know where insult after insults by text, sabotaging any chance of recovery, saying “goodbye forever”, like a slammed door. How does one come back to that kind of vomit that’s like volcano explosion and eruption that decimates a whole community? I couldn’t go back to that. It was way too severe. I said my goodbyes without their presence.

My mother is a prophet. In some instances I don’t like her telling me how I feel. How would one confront a parent when her love is smothering?
@TheWizardOfWords
@TheWizardOfWords Жыл бұрын
Nicole, I don't think you want to "confront" your mom, especially since she's smothering you with love, not acrimony :). Let her love you any way she wishes, but in the end--do as you will. Do what's best for you. My guess is you're now an adult, so it's time to listen to your mom and love her, but not do what she says. You just quietly do what's right for you. That's how I have approached it all my life :) :)

Dan, in your expert opinion, what do you do about people with streams of suggestions about what you should do at the weekend. Bad restaurant recommendations. Patronising day out suggestions, you know really obvious things you've done a million times. All given in a tone of utter confidence and superiority?
