I would record both sides. If there is something to be learned from the second side, add it to the video. If not, end the video. We can also watch the driver side twice if needed.

Thank you for the feedback. That's what I was thinking as well. I did record both sides but it seemed the same, so I didn't add it to the video. I do dislike the front doors on these C classes now. Mercedes definitely made them harder for us. I thought the same thing about just watching the driver side twice! 🤣😂 Hopefully these videos are helpful. They certainty don't get the views that the PPF videos get. 😂😅 I guess that's to be expected since my tint videos are pretty new to the channel. :) T

Thank you for this video! It has been extremely helpful and exactly what I was looking for. Two quick questions: For the side windows on the 2024 C300, I noticed you didn’t shrink the film from the outside. Is this because the side windows don’t require it due to their lack of curvature, or did you do this off-camera? Also, what is your opinion on adding painter's tape over the felt on the side windows to prevent debris from getting on the film? Thanks again for the great tutorial!

Great questions. I always Pre-Shrink (snap-shrink) the roll-up windows while they are hanging on the peal board. If you want more info on this process, check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/anrae4N5nd9mnbssi=Yw8v8fv2ZvCdadcy Tape is a good option to help keep the felt from falling off and sticking to the adhesive of the tint. I mostly use tape once these cars get older. But still a great option when they are new. 👍🏻

¿Te aseguras de mantener la pistola de calor en movimiento? Mantener la pistola de calor en un lugar durante demasiado tiempo puede causar muchos problemas, como quemar los bordes.

Great Video! I’ve been getting better at back window shrinking thanks to your video! Quick question is it normal to have a bunch of small air pockets after your done shrinking the back window ? Thanks!
@EncorePPFtint3 ай бұрын
Are you talking about during the heat shrinking process? If so, yes, when starting out (new to heat shrinking), or when shrinking a rear window with a lot of over spray, sap, dirt, dust, or other contamination stuck to the outside of the glass. You do want the glass to be as clean as possible on the outside. Then run your dryer sheet over it, lay your film on, do your H pattern, and start heat shrinking.

Hey, where are you located? We're in California.

Great thank you! Central Pennsylvania. I did two install (after shrinking ) so far not very happen with them yet I had a-lot of air pockets not sure if they eventually dry out or not.

If the air pockets are there after you install the film, they will not dry out and go away. Are the air pockets on the defroster lines or on the edges. If so, you need to push that area out and then add some heat. Then push them out again. Do that until they stay down. What is the year make and model of the vehicle you are working on?

2011 Toyota Camry. The rear window and the rear quarters (films keeps bunching up) are making me want to throw in the towel, but I’m going to keep going!

Where do you cover the Keyless Go Module so it doesn't fry when you're wetting the inside of the rear window?
@EncorePPFtint14 күн бұрын
I might have recorded that part. I'll look. You'll want to get in the trunk. On the left side, on the bottom side of the rear deck, you'll find one plastic push in clip holding the trunk fabric in place. The clip is just to the right of the (left) trunk hing bracket. Pop that clip out and above the fabric (and right above the trunk hing) you'll find 2 or 3 good sided holes. Tuck a towel into those holes. That will ensure no water makes it to the module. 😁👍🏻

It's worth noting that the only two modules I ever got wet eventually dried out and worked fine. 👍🏻 Until they dried out, it was inconvenient and worrisome for the customer.

@@EncorePPFtint Thank you so much! Our detailers have magically ruined several electronic components in cars this year, we can't take the chance of this not drying out & having to replace it. Our insurance said they don't cover things like this (they actually said no insurance would), only damages done while the car is being driven, which i don't get but whatever, so.. Thank you for the direction. The software gave us the warning to cover it but I couldn't find where it actually was in the car anywhere online, and the car has no manual in it- go figure. Thank you again! 🫶🏻

@christinecloninger7781 What happens if you damage a door pannel in a car during an installation? You should double-check that and find new insurance if they don't cover damage. I used my insurance for the first time in 26 years last year. 14k for a BMW i8 door pannel. It was crazy! No problem, I'm glad I could help! And yeah, it's way better to spend the few mins protecting the electronics vs. crossing your fingers in hopes things will dry out well. 👍🏻
