Such an irritation that when you do take a wide line leading, people just inside line around you so you get no good lead practice. Also super annoying that when you chase someone doing some nice smooth outside lines and you get close to them they start inside line drifting for some unknown reasons.

Driving etiquette maybe? Another way of saying “I don’t feel like leading”. Leading definitely does have a much more pressure than the chaser since you’re following their movements

A good chaser should be able to follow the line the leader takes, predicting how they will slide the next corner and when they transition

As a person that normally takes the inside lines, this helps. I wad trying to figure out why I couldn’t keep up with the leads

I have only been playing for 3 days, but i am definitely one of the guys doing everything wrong that you pointed out, lol. I think i just perceived drifting as getting your nose as close to the line or wall as possible without hitting it. Obviously, your video shows me my perspective is wrong, and i really needed this video. It is very well explained, and thank you. Now i can practice and get better at tandems and have more fun!

7:45 I'd like to point out that the reason for that is based on your peak torque. So if you want to catch up that's where you should be sitting. Find it in your Engine Settings.

So I am just recently getting into lobbies and tandems and this helped alot.. Drifting solo I was just thinking about outside and inside clipping points, then going online thinking I'm this mad drifter.. but this was a great explanation and example of why it doesn't work in tandems 👍. i drift on the inside but im not drifting for tandems, i drift for racing. im not sure if that why other do it. prosonaly i like racing more than tandems. like initial d or Toyoko drift. i get bored with tandems quick

You should try FD tandems. Hella fun. Both cars have 120adh hella grip and speed. It’s fun sticking to doors while the person in front of you thinks he could outrun you😂. Good lines are a mandatory tho, don’t compromise lines for speed 🙅🏽‍♂️
