Just signed up for the course. I am SO impressed by the website and what you have to offer. So many lessons and backing tracks and pub sessions. It is awesome. Thank you!

@@onlineacademyofirishmusic Thank you so much. So far it is going so well, excellent program.! I would love to come to Ireland next year to study in person. Do you have a suggestion of a camp or workshop that happens in Ireland?

Great to have a course on the low whistle, and I'm looking forward to trying it. But starting in Lesson One with a tune that heads right up to High C seems a little scary. I know the course is not for complete beginners on the whistle, but still ...

Hi Anna, have you tried any of the other tunes in the course?
@anna.g3 жыл бұрын
@@onlineacademyofirishmusic Yes, I'm working my way through now and greatly enjoying it. And some of the other tunes are both lovely, and less scary! :-)

Hi James, do you play the tin whistle? How long have you been playing?

Might you tell us what kind of whistle that is? When I hit high C on mine, the cats lift their heads out of their respective puddles of sunlight and grimace, and I can't blame them.

Can I get the C natural note in a Low whistle by blowing OXXOOO?

@@onlineacademyofirishmusic Sorry, I'm making flutes and the first one I made I can't reach that note.

May I ask what is the diameter of the holes in your flute?
@onlineacademyofirishmusic2 жыл бұрын
I'm not a flute player but I heard people talking about the different fingering to make the C natural. There are a few variations I think but I'm not 100% sure. What type of flutes are you making?
