As a ZSS main for 5 years now I have to throw some advice out there for new ZSS mains and those who are interested in her. A: WiFi is not her strong play... seriously if you lose on WiFi and there was any lag whatsoever your game was made harder due to how crisp her game has to be. B: Learn and master these techniques in this order: shorthop, fox-trot, SHFF-Nair, Zair, flip kick, down smash, b-reverse paralyzer, up air chains into up b. And the 2 combos you must learn as ZSS are 40% Nair-flip kick spike (they are dead) and back throw into flip kick spike (they are dead around 20-30.) There’s so much more to this character than what I listed, but what I have listed is definitely a good start and will get you into elite smash and have you kicking ass with ZSS if she’s the one for you! TinStar honestly though. The speed you have to play this character at makes even the smallest amount of input lag feel like an eternity. And her air speed can lead to fast falling offstage when you’re going for a flip kick to boost kick recovery when you’re knocked way off stage. A super fun character becomes a maddening experience all due to WiFi and input lag, which makes me so sad since I don’t have a lot of chances to go to the locals in my area and feel stuck with online to play with decent actual people and not cpus 🙃

Short hop falling Nair and Zair are going to be your best attacks in neutral. I recommend going in training and practicing the spacing and true combos on these before learning anything else. Zair is especially important to outrange opponents. Oh and don't get discouraged playing her on wifi haha

I’d say your right. It’s funny how so many people seem to be so good with her though. But yeah, she just don’t have the launch power for me, I don’t do too well at playing off stage. I can recover well, but playing offensively off stage isn’t my strong suit, maybe that’s a good thing for me as Bowser been my main since Melee lol

I first started to get into smash when my cousin showed me the game (Started off in Brawl) and Metroid Zero Misson was my first ever game I played on my Game boy and loved it and the series and once I noticed ZSS and Samus I ha to give them a shot I honestly didn't like her playstyle but once I got to use ZSS ohhh I struck the gold mine cause it was exactly what I was looking for fast and mostly STYLISH! My main definitely has to be ZSS but my only other mains are from the Metroid series nothing else even if they are different then ZSS

Too little kill power for me....she’s be great in stamina marches lol, but otherwise I’ll stick to Bowser, or even keep the suit on for Samus. Results n stuff tell me the potential is there, she’s just too technical for me, I HATE trying to utilize that flip jump move, I’d rather just chase her down with Bowser’s foward air lol

You must have never beaten Matroid part 1. After beating the game it starts over with Samus in her zero suit and all items and energy tanks. We used to call her Crucial" before they came out with the zero suit name. She is crucial cool. Use code " Justin Bailey" in Metroid 1to get zero suit samus with wave missile beam and you are ready for the mother brain Enjoy.

I stumbled upon this video and I gotta admit, despite its been a while since I play smash bros, one thing that kinda surprised me is the fact that the smash bros creators made zero suit Samus a fantastic fighter 👏 and I will admit tho before I was a huge fan of the metro series because I saw it as Nintendo version of halo (for being a sci-fi shooter game) however in smash bros since its a fighting game 🎮 i never expected for Samus to a great fighter let alone a fantastic top tier fighter in comparison to other smash characters. This even surprised me even more with zero suit Samus because Samus herself is famous with her iconic armored suit in the metro series. So to me its kinda like they gave Samus a new identity in smash bros through her zero suit version, aside from the obvious appearance difference between zero suit and regular armored version zero suit Samus also feels very different in terms of playstyle as the video mentions her armored version plays like tanky artillery range fighter, Samus zero suit plays like a fast, agile, hard hitting, and crowd control melee fighter (almost like a ninja). So game creators did a fantastic 👏 job at making zero suit Samus a completely new character in its own right but I will admit tho I did enjoy the brawl version of Samus where after you use her ultimate her suit breaks and become a zero suit vice versa. On top of everything I just said I also do enjoy the fact that zero suit Samus is pretty a attractive blonde hair blue eye woman in skin tight clothing suit with high tech high heals and armed with a high tech pistol 🔫 it kinda reminds me other iconic female hero like DC catwoman or marvel black widow. If I do pick up smash bros again definitely gonna try to master Zero suit Samus.
