I've been sewing quilts for 20 years and now I'm trying knits again. Machines and fabrics have changed a lot and I was so frustrated with the lack of info on which stitch to use with knits on my new mid range machine. I spent hours, yes, hours online after my "manual" was mum on the topic. I'm so glad I found you! Best info! Thanks!

Serger = bucket-of-crazy...HAHA so true! and slow as molasses uphill. Love it! You are a seamstress after my own heart. Thank you for these tips. Most I learn "back in the olden days" when learning to sew as a kid from my mom [1961-ish], but with "modern" fibers, notions & time-saving shortcuts, sewing is much less painful/tedious than ever. But it is not cheap.

Excellent video! I had been shy about working with knits, though there was so much I wanted to do, and I didn't want to buy a surger. Thanks so much, for this, especially the breakdown of the different types of knits, the importance of planning for the garment stretch, and the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of sitiches. I am now very excited about tackling knits, and will probably use this video as a reference.

I am a beginner at sewing, though I did some years back. I love all your video's, you have a way of making the subject interesting and you have an appealing voice. Done with complements. This video is great, I have just started with Microfleece and the density is testing my resolve and my Janome J-318. I have settled for Sharp needles as no other would pierce - basting by hand tricky pieces. The Walking Foot and I are still a work in progress. Thank you.
