I cant wait to try this this weekend. I just started learning to sew and I managed to make a very poor bra and panty set using an old stretchy turtleneck sweater and I have cotton thread so I pulled the fabric as I sewed so the stitch would stretch. It was a headache. I wish someone had told me there was thread that also stretched. I was convinced it was just me being to new.

I can't say enough nice things about the person making the video. I love that she understands that speaking SLOWLY and CLEARLY is important when instructing the masses, not having distracting long wildly painted fingernails and not being overly chatty just to the point. I will like and follow.

If my fabric is 50% stretches how much I should subtract from my measurement?
@WonderFilThreads3 жыл бұрын
That's a tough question as there are a lot of things that can factor in. You can check to see if your pattern has any recommendations, including where to position the pattern along the bias or if there are any fabrics you should use with it so that the pattern is designed around that.

There's no specific machine you have to use for sewing with stretchy fabrics. In this video, we demonstrated with a Bernina 570 Quilter's Edition and a Babylock air threading serger, however you can use any sewing machine.
