For those who face a problem of the first animation that you created not working properly, remember to create the key of the hframe of the first animation.

It's really helpful to see the code for flipping the sprite horizontally. I'm running into the issue with attaching hitboxes and hurtboxes to animations. The sprite was flipped in response to left and right arrow keys, but the hitbox was not also rotated. Would love to see a tutorial on this. But maybe I should just duplicate the sprite graphics and flip them manually at some point rather than rely on a code-based solution? Overall, thanks again for making this video and I look forward to seeing your future content!

Finally someone who explains well and faster.I want to make fantasy game but I don't know how to detect collision when the sword of my hero hits the enemies. If I add collisionshape only to the sword I won't be able to detect when enemies are hitting my hero with arrows because my hero won't have collisionshape

theres an actionRPG tutorial made my a channel named HeartBeast where he creates a game that works like that. He shows ou how to do the attack anmation and then later on how to make it hit an enemy and cause damage. I think it might explain what youre looking for not sure but I think

i need help with setting the horizontal frames, they always take the wrong for some reason. I think it's because of the spacing between each sprite but i dont really know

Please help, I followed the exact same steps, however, my second anymation gets overriden ...I created a walk animation, and then created an attack animation. Both walk and attack animation are using attack....no matter what I do, if I add a 3rd animation, if I switch between them in the AnimationPlayer, all 3 will have the last animation set...

so when i click the key it says (create new track for property 'frame' and insert key?) with 2 options. 1 use bezier curves 2 create RESET tracks whats the difference and which should i choose

Does onready var = $AnimationPlayer only work for a kinematic body 2d? I’m getting error in my code saying that line has an unexpected identifier any ideas??

on the top corner of the right, there should be a little arrow button. click that.

At 1:35 you click on the key icon and it increases the frame automatically -- it lets you simply click "key" repeatedly to import all the frames into the animation. When I do the same it does not increase the frame number. Why? The only difference I can think of is that you're using a sprite sheet while I use an AnimatedSprite2D

If your animation is not stopping, there’s a good chance the “looping” property is on. Take a look at your animation and the icon for looping should be in the top right of the animation panel!
