When I first saw this class live, 46:22 made me SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I felt like I had no right to call myself a software engineer. Let alone announce it to everyone! But here I am a year later, finishing up month 2 at my first full-time software engineer role. I now realize how important it was for me to manifest my dreams into reality. LEON IS RIGHT! For mac peeps: option + command + up or down arrow for the ripple option + return/enter + click for the ripple command + left or right arrow to move to the beginning or end of the line It slowed me down around the 2:52:38 mark, so hopefully it speeds you up. Command + up/down arrow takes you to the top or bottom of a page, which is good to know for instant travel

I’ve tried for years to jump back into code - I got my start in html on expage with a personal page/diary in the late 90s before blog domination took off. Developer Magic: on Mac command alt and down arrow and you get the reple going all down your list, or control alt down arrow on windows. The flashing repl means you can now type on each one of those lines. Command right arrow on Mac allows you to jump to the end of the line to add additional code.

Class two: pushing through got stuck with some of the parts with the tags it showed up as red for some reason on vscode. Pretty aggravated about it. Love that Leon mentioned the mistborn trilogy I just happened to finish the third book onto the fourth. On another note, have so much home work to do for the next class. I will be on discord asking many questions, but it seems simple I think I'm just missing something here and there. I ended doing some things on my own for the five minutes, but when I tried to incorporate everything he said after it didn't sync. Deleted everything starting over.

You know what happens? They realize how much work it is going to take and then stop. Same with the gym, graduating from college, getting straight As, climbing the mountain, running a marathon, whatever it is. When people see what it costs to do these amazing things, they quit. The path of least resistance is one massive obstacle that many cave in too.
