3 years later, and this playlist is still one of the top recommended on a few groups I've joined. I know nothing about programming, but I've always had a huge interest. I'll slowly make my way through all of the videos. I hope this will not only teach me the basics of what I need to know but also help me decide if this is truly what I want to do. I'm 32 and looking for a career change that will get me out of hard, heavy labor and into something that will give me a lottle more freedom so i can have more time with my kids.

I know I'm four years late, but between the 25k and being the best triangle player, I choose to be the best triangle player. I might lose those 25k tomorrow, but the understanding of rhythm required to be the best at the triangle might help me pick up some other instruments and have fun while I am able to hear and use my hands.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 01:16 *🍕 The question of the day asks whether you'd prefer one exceptional Domino's pizza or a free Domino's pizza every month for life.* 03:29 *🛠️ Learning JavaScript involves understanding its challenges and what programming truly entails.* 17:17 *🔄 Learning JavaScript is about half hard work and half believing you can do it, akin to a baby learning to walk.* 20:48 *🖥️ JavaScript allows for behavior and interaction on websites, completing the trio with HTML and CSS.* 22:49 *⌨️ Understanding programming involves recognizing that it's about instructing computers through sets of instructions in a language they understand.* 24:56 *🛠️ Understanding the distinction between low-level and high-level computing is essential in learning JavaScript.* 29:31 *🔄 Fundamental circuits with on/off states serve as the basis for understanding binary representation, a cornerstone of computer logic.* 31:56 *💡 Representing circuits with binary (1s and 0s) lays the foundation for basic logic operations such as AND and OR.* 36:29 *🛸 Learning from "IndependenceDay": The concept of reverse engineering illustrates how programming transcends language barriers, even with advanced alien technology.* 43:43 *🔧 JavaScript developers stand on the shoulders of pioneers who developed the foundational principles of binary computing. Understanding this history is crucial in appreciating the power and responsibility of coding.* 52:29 *🧘♂️ Take breaks during coding sessions to stretch and prevent strain.* 01:03:11 *🎨 Changes made with JavaScript manipulate the Document Object Model (DOM), not the actual files.* 01:08:24 *🔄 Every time a page is refreshed, the DOM is re-rendered, reflecting changes made by JavaScript.* 01:11:51 *📜 JavaScript adds interactivity to web pages by manipulating the DOM, but changes are temporary and reset upon refreshing the page.* 01:19:55 *🎭 JavaScript event listeners, or "smurfs," respond to user interactions by executing specified instructions.* 01:24:38 *🧠 When learning JavaScript, focus on mastering variables, conditionals, functions, and loops as they form the foundation for building anything.* 01:26:18 *🛢️ Variables in JavaScript are used to store and remember values for later use, acting as memory buckets where data can be stored and retrieved.* 01:31:06 *🔄 Variables can be assigned and reused throughout the program, enabling dynamic data storage and manipulation.* 01:35:12 *📝 When naming variables, follow a convention like camelCase to ensure consistency and readability across your codebase.* 01:37:45 *🔤 Strings in JavaScript are enclosed in quotes (single, double, or backticks), and escaping is necessary when using the same type of quote inside the string.* 01:43:07 *🔢 JavaScript numbers can be integers or floating-point values, and arithmetic operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and modulus can be performed.* 01:46:59 *🕵️♂️ Modulus operation (%) in JavaScript can determine whether a number is even or odd, which is useful in solving coding challenges like FizzBuzz.* 01:51:22 *🤖 QuerySelector and getElementById allow us to find elements in the DOM by their IDs.* 01:52:32 *🛠️ `addEventListener` offers more event handling flexibility compared to `onclick`.* 01:53:18 *🖱️ Event listeners can be set for various events like mouse enter, mouse leave, click, and more.* 01:55:27 *🔄 Variable reassignment involves updating the value of a variable.* 01:56:11 *🔢 Variables can be reassigned to different values, even of different types.* 01:57:46 *🖥️ JavaScript allows dynamic manipulation of memory through variable reassignment.* 02:00:28 *🖊️ JavaScript can manipulate the DOM in real-time, updating content based on events.* 02:05:34 *♻️ DOM manipulation resets upon page refresh, reverting to the initial state.* 02:16:11 *🔄 To make decisions in JavaScript, we use conditionals based on true or false values.* 02:19:21 *🎯 Comparison in JavaScript is done using `==` or `===` for value and type equality, respectively.* 02:22:13 *🔄 JavaScript comparison operators include one equal sign for assignment, two for value comparison, and three for value and type comparison.* 02:23:40 *🛠️ Conditional statements in JavaScript follow the rule: if the condition in parentheses is true, execute the code within the curly braces.* 02:24:09 *🚦 Conditional syntax in JavaScript includes 'if', 'else if', and 'else' statements. 'Else' is optional and acts as a default when all other conditions are false.* 02:29:25 *⚠️ Mistaking assignment (=) for comparison (== or ===) in JavaScript can lead to unexpected behavior and errors.* 02:31:52🔍 JavaScript allows for multiple conditions in conditional logic using '&&' for 'and' and '||' for 'or'. 02:38:34 *📝 Pseudocode is a plain language description of code logic, helping to plan and structure programming tasks effectively.* 02:48:38 *🔤 JavaScript string comparisons are case-sensitive, so ensure consistent casing for accurate matching.* 02:49:51 *🖥️ Homework involves making JavaScript string comparisons case-insensitive and displaying results in the DOM.* 02:50:34 *📚 Next class will delve deeper into JavaScript. Homework includes planning networking, reading and completing tasks on JavaScript.info, and enhancing previous projects.* 02:51:42 *📅 Homework is due Tuesday and involves networking planning, reading JavaScript.info, completing associated tasks, and enhancing previous projects.* Made with HARPA AI

The real question is how big of an item could you put in your pocket? It looks like we're talking about it being an infinite bag of holding so naturally just thinking of the item and putting your hand in your pocket would withdraw the item.

I was in an in-person bootcamp that was divided into 4 Modules. I had to leave at the beginning of Module 3 as my husband and I got this wonderful opportunity to start a business together. I still want to be a web dev so I'm learning through Leon. I was going to go back to the in-person bootcamp at their next cohort but now I'm just going to learn here.
