The 飲み会 episode is fascinating! I love culture. I might have to order sake-soy sauce Teriyaki from the Cantonese restaurant (it's the closest I can get to a Japanese drink/meal here). And I'll have the video company of Hiroko-san & Risa-san. かんぱい!

lol when she says Margarine. I grew up in the south most of my childhood. And I have always heard it pronounced as "Mar Jur ren" The "G" has a "Juh" J sound and the "Rine" part is more "ren" sounding. So Mar-Jur-Ren is how I have always heard is spoken in the south and pretty much other places in the US as well. But I can tell she was trained to sound out words and some times that works and sometimes its not right as how words are spelled versus pronounced can be different. And yes Margarine is bad if you eat too much. But in southern cooking in the US it just doesn't have a replacement. My Grandmother and mother both cooked with it. And you just cant find anything that compares when its used right. I would love to see Japanese people try freshly made Southern US cooking. Like find a old school southern cook and ask them to make dishes and sweets fresh for the people to try. I have seen allot of similar youtube videos and they all seem to use pre-made foods made by some company. Southern cooking isn't something you can just get at KFC. Its made by hand by someone who was given this gift by family from when they were kids and up to adults. Anything thats not made that way is simply flat and nearly tasteless compared to the real deal.

You should make a video with all foods in Japanese by showing the food to make it easy to remember and also more interesting video I think. I'm not sure if it's possible but if you could go to a supermarket in Japan that would allow you to film to introduce different foods would make an interesting video. Or at least have pictures or have them in the room to show to the viewer is also a good idea.

I am only speaking on behalf of my bad ears, and for others too who may not be able to hear well. While I like these videos, I often cannot hear the clear pronunciation of the words or phrases being said, let alone effectively read the Katakana or Hiragana written here. But in this case, I would also like to see Romaji used, at least so I can try to sound it out; that is, until I develop my Katakana and Hiragana reading better. And for Kanji, well that's a different story altogether... I am a total beginner here.
