i have a question i cant find information about or how to explain what i am confused about 😭. I was playing genshin and the character said: ”しえい” how would you understand what this means, from *just audio* and no kanji? i looked it up and the actual voiceline is: 紫影! but this means purple shadow (むらさき かげ) ??? where did *shi ei* come from? and *how can you know WITHOUT* kanji? (imagine the WRITTEN voicelines were not available) this also happen with so many characters: Kaze no muta, kumo no yuku goto! i search the voiceline but it has the kanji とも (ともに) 風 の "共"、 雲の行くごと。 why does he *SPEAK "muta" in game* , but the *WRITTEN word is tomo* ? 頭が高いぞ! is the written voiceline. atama ga takai zo! but in game, he says: ZU GA TAKAI ZO! *similarly, where did ZU come from? why doesnt he say ATAMA* 疾風! He says HAYATE (はやて)In game, but thats kanji for wind/ かぜ? why doesnt he say HAYA KAZE! where is the TE coming from? Does kanji *writing* create the spoken pronunciation? or does the spoken pronounciation create the kanji? i hope this make sense why i am confused and someone can explain thanks anyone 🙏

South Coast Inventorsさん こんにちは😊 If you mean "んだか" to describe uncertainty ( ex, 寒(さむ)いんだか、暑(あつ)いんだか、わからない。), the role of か particle is different from the one in んですか. か in んですか" is question asking particle, but か in "んだか" means whether or not. so I'd say they are different grammar. The connections should be the same. ありがとうございました😊
