Just a heads up for Kamui. Seems like now you need to create an account to use it, and then you only get about 500 uses before it's paid.

it's nice to see you put so much effort into this, but especially for harder concepts like in the first few words: 黄昏・宵闇 its more than just misleading to even look at the english translation(s). I wouldn't recommend learning those words on vocab flashcards at all, but instead only trying to figure it out on your own after you already know the constituent kanji and/or look it up in a japanese dictionary. But don't get me wrong, for words which basically have just a single english meaning, using english translations is very good. But this isn't even the peak of misleading japanese concepts, if you encounter the word 掛ける and try to learn english equivalents... may the Kamigami have mercy on your poor soul. Also for all the lazy viewers thinking it will improve their japanese to let other people read it out and translate for them, as for most things: effort = improvement, if it's possible try to engage with this game or other japanese language on your own (on top of this).

Learning in context is always my recommended learning method (rather than flashcards), this vocab series allows people to access that context without such a huge barrier of entry. It also allows learners to try and break things down themselves, to then get 'checked' by the video. The words you mentioned I also used a Japanese dictionary to see the meaning, and recommend everyone do that, rather than ever rely on the English translation :) It's simply there as a keyword in a common language, but learning a piece of language's use always comes from the context in which its used. Hope you enjoyed the video! :D
