Learn this solo! These lines outline the chord changes in this Classic Bebop chord progression known as a Bird Blues. These chord changes are found in Chalie Parker's song, Blues for Alice, among others. Incredibly tasty lines and licks! I thought that spelling out the chords was too cliché, but I think I'm realizing it's only cliché, if you spelled out _every note_ of the chord, which would essentially make in arpeggio. But omitting one or the other note or playing enclosures makes it a lot more interesting. Nice, I think the proverbial nickel dropped here with me :-) Thanks!

I have been struggling for years, trying to connect the dots, but I finally am getting a better understanding of how my "bits and pieces" of jazz chords become conversational through lessons like this! I had never even known what a "Bird Blues" was before this lesson! You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you for all that you do! Oh, and I must say... I should also say that your production values (Image Quality + Graphics + Chord Diagrams + Sound) are EXCELLENT 110%! You have "re-set the bar" quite high! I wouldn't be surprised if you have a pro film guy helping you - but maybe you are great at that, too? What camera do you shoot this with? A Red Scarlet with a Zeiss prime lens?! Excellent lighting and background, too! Your beautiful guitars are always polished! Your fingers are manicured nicely. You, Sir, are a true PRO!
