I already know Kurdish but I'm not that fluent, so I watch ur videos and they're so good. Since my parents don't have time to teach me more words.. I have my book in which I practice Kurdish filled with pages when I write down things from ur videos, it really helps a lot. Please keep making videos ❤️

Thank you for your excellent videos. I'm learning so that I can understand the Kurdish people I meet in Glasgow. I have to, because every Kurdish person you meet wants to be your friend and all of us who are former warriors have to look after each other. It is very interesting to me that the Kurdish pronunciation feels similar to Scottish pronunciation at times, and that Kurdish people who have lived here for a number of years can pronounce Scottish words properly. I have also found this in Pashto but not Arabic so it may be a Persian influence. The Kurdish languages are beautiful and you are very good in your explanations so thanks again for making this.

Don’t add arabic words to it please, Tkaya. Dast xos 👍
@JohnMotamed4 жыл бұрын
Your lessons are confusing for someone who knows the meaning of those words, for example what you say "Bexar" is " Be xeyr (be kheyr)" which has been borrowed from Arabic. I assume you can use "xosh" which is non Arabic and pure middle Persian : xosh hati (u r welcome). also Slaw is different form of Salam from Arabic or Shalom (Hebrew) , Rozhba(sh) is way more authentic and non Arabic. Kurdi is a dialect of middle Persian (also called Pahlavi), the language of Iranian people before invasion of Arabs in 7th century. It's structure is very similar to modern Persian but the accent is very different and that's the main reason people think they are different languages.Modern Persian itself is nothing but middle Persian plus some Arabic words and grammar. I found it very interesting to compare modern Persian with Kurdi and see how my ancestors spoke before Arab conquest of Persia. I hope one day Iranians remove all Arabic words from modern Persian and speak a pure language. Luri, Gilaki, Baluchi and Pashtu are other existing dialects of middle Persian. xosh bashi
