One thing to remember is that on the Brother mount the yoyo is on the opposite side of the string, which means that when you attempt to correct its lean it will lean the opposite way you expect. I would try correcting its lean in the opposite direction, if that makes any sense. This way you can balance the yoyo before attempting to bring it back to the trapeze. If you are not sure what I mean by "correcting its lean" this is where you touch the yoyo with one of the strings to tilt it.

i love these videos, theyre entertaining, straight to the point, and u give great tips on how to learn the tricks even faster. ive looked up how to do a certain trick then id try it out and after not getting it ill look it up and see if u guys made a video on the same trick and end up usually getting it after the 2nd attempt

I can do the side mount 90% of the time...but I’m having issues with getting the second part where it swings to the other sode

If you have not done so already I suggest you go to YoTricks.com and check out the first 50 videos. This shows you in order what comes next after you learn those mount. To get to the first 50 tricks put your mouse over Yoyo Tricks in the menu and then drop down to Trick Sets and select First 50.

@o0omoopo0o When you oil your yoyo it does not necessarily help it sleep longer, it usually just makes it return better. It sounds like all you need is to get better at your breakaway throw and focus on keeping your yoyo straight. When you do your side-mount tricks it is very important that the strings do not touch the sides of the yoyo, because this will cause your yoyo to slow down very quickly. Also, a butterfly style yoyo (like a Saber Raider or a Luminator) will make this trick much easier.

You can learn this trick with a fireball. However, it would be much easier to learn on a wider yoyo like the Luminator yoyo we use to teach the trick.

Many years later I started yoyo-ing now. I guess you either gave up or understood it. The line need to have a not to high tension so the yoyo does not hit a "straigth" road which it just runs up.

The Luminator can sleep 30-45 seconds with a good throw as long as the strings are not touching the sides of the yoyo. We use the Luminator to teach most of our tricks, so I think it is a great choice!

If you can remove the string from a yoyo it will most likely be a sleeping yoyo, if you cannot remove the string it will not be a sleeping yoyo.

Hey there yotricks... I've had my dm2 for a month not I can do almost all the intermediate tricks. I've got a few more to learn and I'm done with that section. Unfortunately this trick has been giving me problems for 2 weeks or so. Every time I land it on the "his brother" section my yoyo starts to go all warbly and when I bounce it off again to return to a trapeze the yoyo is spinning weirdly and doesn't land. Any tips for improving the trick would be appreciated. Thanks

The Boomerang is fine for beginner tricks, and picture tricks. It is not the greatest for string tricks like the Man on the Flying Trapeze.

so, i am able to do the side mount then have my other figerto make it go over its own string but instead of it catching it turns to the side (so its forward) and bounces off, any way i can prevent this for swing it better?

i have the sage, of and once and a while my yoyo will be off balanced and the string is only on one side so it tilts, that does not mess me up very often, but when it does it ends up making my tricks not look as good and/or messes me up, i think its because of how i throw it but i throw it exactly like you.

wkmmjj When the string pushes into one side of the yoyo it causes it to lean. This may be what is causing you problems. What you can do, however, is turn this into an advantage. If your yoyo is leaning you can also push the string into it to cause the yoyo to straighten out if it is leaning.

***** Most likely the strings are pushing into the side of the yoyo when you land it on the string causing it to lean. See if you can keep things more straight and that might help keep that from happening.

I can't get the dismount on this on my Sage for nothing. Can you explain? I'll pull my hands apart but the yoyo just flies off way out of the way and I'll try to catch it and if I succeed the yoyo isn't rolled up at all. Also, where can I see a tutorial on the dismount for an unresponsive (very new and I just got a horizon and idk what I'm doing lol)

You need to make sure to let the string off your finger as soon as you hop it up.

This trick is pretty straightforward, so I am not sure what advice I could offer. The faster your yoyo is spinning the less this trick will give you problems.

If your missing that could mean that your opposite hand is not in the right position, most likely it is not pushed our far enough. It could also mean that you are not moving the yoyo side to side straight.

I've mastered the man on the flying trapeze but when ever I'm trying to get the yoyo over my right finger the yoyo either misses to the out side, misses to the inside,lands on both strings or lands on the inside string. Most likely what is happening is that when you land the yoyo on the string you allow the yoyo to slide towards your yoyo hand, which is causing it to bind. If you make sure to never let the yoyo hand move along the string towards your yoyo hand, this should stop happening.
