I’m Irish that’s not part of any accent in Ireland , he modified the word for the song he doesn’t go around pronouncing chance that way in any of his songs in heartbreak weather and nobody substitutes the a sound for o in Ireland

We are so sick of people saying we do because Niall modified the word for a song and now everybody who has never been to Ireland never heard any Irish person other than Niall speak thinks they know exactly how we speak. Niall doesn’t say chonce once in heartbreak weather or when speaking outside of singing . Please stop assuming that is how we speak

I’m from Germany and in my school nearly no student can pronounce the “th-“, guess I’m from Ireland now :)

In fact only some Irish people say 'dis dat dese and dose', it is a feature that other irish people deplore. We had a Prime Minister (Taoiseach) who spoke like that and everyone made fun of his accent - he had elocution lessons to correct it, but never managed to. Very few people, however, pronounce the 'th' sound exactly as English people do, it is usually a little harder, more dentalized, but not to the extent that it is implied here.

That's what happens with all accents when people move away but, speaking from experience, it's amazing how fast they revert to their accent when speaking to others from their home town/country. Harry has lost most of his Cheshire accent now, and is very Americanised, due to spending most of his time there

3:14 The changing for TH sound back to a D sound is largely dependent on the word you just said beforehand. I say hings instead of things, however if I am beginning the sentence with the word things I keep the th. Source: I'm Irish

I've noticed when a "t" comes at the end of a word, Irish people don't quite pronounce it, or don't pronounce it all the way. It's not the glottal stop, it's different.
