Excellent. So much material in one video. I feel like I'm being dragged by a race car. It's all good Justin, I like it that way. I hope I can catch up with you.

Do you have a walkthrough for plywood cabinets in fusion 360, such as the last model you showed, to CNC?
@pdxcnc4 жыл бұрын
Hey Jay, I don't think so. Not like a top to bottom design to CAM cabinet. In little snippets all over: You can download the F360 model to look through it on this Parameter video pdxc.co/pd-post - In this one I quickly go through the CAD/CAM to build a small "cabinet/shelf." kzbin.info/www/bejne/rl61hKawp8p_ba8 -- there's a F3D download which includes the CAM which is essentially every type of operation you'd need for a typical cabinet. You might check out Lars, the guy has a video for everything kzbin.infosearch?query=cabinet DM on insta @pdxcnc if you have specific questions. Been planning to do a series for woodworkers to get into Fusion

Hi Justin big fan of your youtube channel. thanks for all your content. I'm currently trying to design up a drawer unit which i am trying to make the quantity of drawers parametric so i can change the amount of drawers easily. Im very new to this so bear with me haha . im finding it frustrating when the equation im trying to make to the the drawer front sizes mimnus the gaps etc is red and doesnt wants to accept it. The equation is: (unitheight-((drawerquantity+1)*drawergaps)/drawerquantity the parametric values hidden befind the names are (880mm-((3pcs+1pcs)*3mm))/3pcs is it something to do with the fact that the units for drawerquantity is pcs (which is the amount of drawers i want) isnt working with the millimeters? but i tried to change the value to of it to millimeters and it still didnt work. I hope this makes sense i cant find any one on here explain how to parametrically model the amount of drawers you have in a unit

Lots of good information here, but it went too fast for me. I'm going to replay this when I've got a little more F360 experience.

What's your favorite way to use parameters in Fusion?
@wolf95454 жыл бұрын
Unless I missed it why did you choose no value for the parameters instead of just choosing the inch value? I can understand for the number of dividers.
@pdxcnc4 жыл бұрын
Unitless is much more flexible to start with - because you can't change units in the parameter (dumb) and making formulas in other parameters with "unit-based" parameters throws a flag.

@@pdxcnc Your videos are excellent. I was wondering the same thing. The challenge is I go between mm and in quite a bit. What i like about defining the unit is i can then just use the extension mm or in and it converts. I do agree it is dumb not to allow us to change units in the parameter dialog box. Again, thank you.
