your lessons are really great. They use the same 20 verbs, it is the best way to learn language for beginner 👍 I mean, you don't need to have a 1000+ words in your head to guess examples. I always press pause and try to translate examples myself. It helps me better understand lesson, remember new words and compose my almost 'own' sentences ☝Soo, examples is one of the most important part of your lessons. This is why i almost always have questions 😂

This is all colloquial. It would be nice if the formal tone is written under the informal, becusec I want to learn the formal more (at least for now). Thanks the videos are helpful.

Thanks for your comment Jim. In verb conjugation videos I mention the formal form of a verb, however as my channel focuses on spoken Farsi, I avoid giving formal examples, instead I give you what you can use directly in everyday conversation. For formal language you can watch my reading videos.

So nobody is gonne talk about کی and کی being different question words with same writing and almost sae pronunciation?😂😢 I am loving learning Farsi but the pronunciation is really more difficult as one might think😅 and this is coming from me! I was very encouraged because I know most of the words in this lesson and therefore I could make the sentences correctly. I have a couple of questions, as usual :-) ... 1) boss = raiis OR raiise? 2) You said that questions with verb-to-be usually have the question word at the end. Is there some way to clarify that a little more because I noticed that didn't happen in your examples for 'cheroa' (4.10') and 'kodum' (7.23') and I was wondering if there is a reason why not. Also, for 'chetor' no example with verb to be was given so can that rule be applied with chetor(i)? Kheili mamnoon!

That's why I said usually ane normally 😉😁 Don't use it for 'chera' and 'kodoom' though. Raiis: boss 'Chetori' is a good example 👍

Dear professor, First of all, I join in all the compliments expressed before me by the students who have gone through this course before me. I find it amusing that as I progress through the videos, I always come across comments from the same students who were here two years ago. These comments of mine will probably be read by future students. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now, my question. I have noticed that the verb "to be" in Farsi remains implicit in questions. Is this a rule or a stylistic choice? For example: Would it be correct to say: چرا اینجا خیلی سرد است؟ (Cheraa inja kheili sarde AST?) Thank you in advance.

Yes, it is 100% correct -> Standard/formal Persian

I have a question regarding chera. I know the chegoone is used in very formal settings, but why is there chetori and chejoori? Any specific reason? Are there situations where one would be used and not the other?🤔🤔

I think you meant 'How' not 'chera'. As you said chegoone is very formal, chetor/chetori/chejoori are informal alternatives, most of the times they can be used interchangably, but sometimes one is more suitable, for example for asking 'how are you', we normally say 'chetori'. However for a sentence like 'how can i say' you could use either: chetori begam/chjoori begam.

I have suggestion mr Majid.. what about making challenge videos for example testing us how many words we know I will clarify by an example: you show words in persian and set a timer for 3 or 5 sec to let us guess the meaning at the end we can get score or rate. that can be such an interactive way at the same time in just a short video we can memorize loads of words in a funny & handy way. Notice that video may contain opposite words, verbs, adjectives or a group of words related to a specific subject whatever.. that would be really magnificent and support more the diversity of this lovely channel.. in case you have another oppinion its totally up to you mr Majid the decision definately for you at the end..Thanks

Thanks Omar for your suggestion. These kinds of exercises that you mean are suitable for apps or real schools. More lessons on vocabulary and phrases are coming, with many examples included, as always I stop 1-2 seconds before I give you the translation, but what you mean is now impossible for me, perhaps someday in the future 😊 Thanks again for your nice comment.

@@umaribrahim9619 you could hit pause and try to guess, then play again. That's what I do with the sentences. I make the Persian translation and then check Majid's answer. Also you can set up your own flashcards app to do this and learn only the words you want to learn. I use Simple Flashcards Plus for Android and it has a timer in quiz mode.

Yes chetori means both 'how are YOU' and simply 'how' (in what way) as a question word.

You can say that, it is correct, however it is neat and a level higher to use AST after you have a vowel before, but as i said still using E is not wrong

It is the spoken version of 'darad', in real conversations nobody says 'daarad' (which is formal). My channel focuses mainly on spoken Persian, please watch the series of videos from episode 1.
