Congratulations Ustad Maajid. I am just beginning to learn this incredible and beautiful language. As a Urdu speaker a lot of vocabulary is understandable. Mersi and saal e nau Mubarak. You are doing a great job.

I'm affraid my level is not here yet. With the high speed, this lesson is for now too difficult for me. But maybe in one year it will be a nice listening practice.

This lesson targets of course the learners of +intermediate level. That's why it is fast and hard, I should have mentioned it perhaps in the intro, because I got other comments about it being hard, in the next News video which comes hopefully in 3 weeks, I will mention that. Anyway, I go on making videos in all categories for learners of different levels, so don't worry, videos of basic levels are on the way :) Persian with news series will once a month or every three weeks :)

Just one suggestion and humble request, you talk too fast, kindly speak a little slow and also when you are talking keep subtitels in persian or english so we can learn when you are talkin(not translation) but persian

is there any rule or tendency of knowing when to use تو or توی for "in" in spoken farsi?

they are just the same, you can use both interchangably in spoken Persian, the formal version is داخل , though.

We would never ever be able to understand these things without your help! The first thing I do every day is watch a couple of your videos and they are so helpful on all levels.. Note that in this case there is a better word in English for نوزاد... We use the word newborn to refer to a newborn baby..
