Hi mam, 1. Awesome lecture! Regarding the sentence 'They need help', is 'help' a verb? 2. Is 'do','does', 'do not' or 'does not' a verb? 3. Regarding the contraction don't,is it correct to write dont' ?

I know it's been two years, but I hope it helps if anyone else has the same question: 1.- No, in this case, "need" is your verb. "Help" works as a noun here. 2.- No, they are not verbs, you can't conjugate them. They are fixed responses, so no need to make any modifications. 3.- "Do not" is more formal, the contraction "don't" is informal and used in everyday conversation. Don't write " dont' " as it is gramatically incorrect.
