People learning R is an active detriment to them learning other languages or anything at all for that matter. I appreciate that some people have to for Uni and for that this video is a good tool but they'd be better off learning something else.

In a Basic course. Not in the prerequisites, mind you, but in the introduction on the first day of the course. You're supposed to learn it on the fly. So you're a LIFESAVER!

First of all, thank you for this video. While i was arguing with one of my dc friends we threw each other tons of insults but nothing hit more than hearing "YoU'vE nEvEr eVeN HEaRd of R bEfOrE?! You KnoW wHat, PYTHON is eNouGh fOr yOu." After that i got so mad aaand we don't talk anymore ofc but my point is i felt like I should know R even though I'm not studying on data analysis. (ex-friend's department is economy and he tried to insult me who already code in c++ & python and candidate of a genetics engineer...
