While watching this video, I did not only practice a feeling of gratitude for a certain person, but for everything around me. Breathing in positivity and breathing out all the bad. And for some inexplicable reason near the end of the video I started smelling a very nice, flower-like aroma of which I still don't know where it comes from. It gave me instant goosebumps and made me tear up. Maybe it had been there all along and I didn't notice it until now, I don't know. I have a feeling that a bad energy inside of me blocked me from smelling such a positive and comforting aroma and has been released after I had replaced that bad energy with positivity. I'm getting there.

The 1st statement about life is that we are all Souls having a physical experience. So how do you work with a system called Reiki? Always test for Liars and Cheats, always test never just trust. About 100 years ago it is claimed that a Buddhurst Monk sat in meditation and received Reiki. The believers accept that and do not want to go any further and rely on Hypotheticals and Assumptions to further their claims that it is all Universal Life Force Energy. They ignore the statements made in the Christian Bible and the Koran about Spiritual Gifts? These Gifts are given by Holy Spirit at conception and as the Buddhurst claim for the next 47 days. They can also be accepted or rejected during the lifetime. So along comes somebody who claims that you can connect to Universal Life Force Energy and that is what has supposed to have happened to a Japanese Buddhurst Monk Mikao Usui. But is that what really happened? Could it have been that his Spiritual Gift of Healing was what was activated later in life, that we will never know? But many will claim it and call it Reiki and described as Universal Life Force Energy. There is another suggestion to ‘What is Reiki’ and it resolves around the physical and being able to raise the vibrations of the Energy Centres (Chakras) within the physical body. These Chakras are all connected to all of our living systems and by raising their vibrations above what they have been assists in the healing aspects of the person. So what is this other definition of the system of Reiki? ‘Working with the Frequencies of Energy and Vibration’. But the question then is how. By the use of Words/ Symbols/ Numbers written as sentences and applied to Chakras and retained. By going down this path we are able to develop an exercise that display their effects, is that what real researchers do, provide proof. An exercise; Hold an object in 1 hand and with the other hand over the object write your name then hold the hands together, what may you feel. Is it universal Life Force Energy or something else? It is your 1st Aid Kit connecting to your living systems and removing dis-ease so that you physical can self heal. No Hypotheticals or Assumptions but a physical awareness. So now we have some idea as to how words work as Affirmations. By hold the object in your hands the small chakras in the hands connect to your living systems and start to remove dis-ease. So what if Affirmations are applied to the main Chakras and then retained is that Reiki. Unfortunately after 100 years and so many that have the misgiven beliefs about Reiki then how to change something and except a different reality. How to Test the retention; We may not be able to change the ways that people have in their beliefs but when somebody puts their hands either in person or at a distant over the Crown they may, as it was with me, do you want the good News or the Bad, my choice was the bad 1st, what was detected was a movement down into the body, no Reiki. The good news is that it can be repaired. Always test. Reiki is simple but it is not spiritual, you may have Spiritual Gifts and they will be enhanced by any increase in the vibrations of the Chakras but unless those vibrations are retained then they will fade back to what they originally were. Nice explainations Dr. Shipon. I agree, I was very tuned in as a kid and would send healing energy to the birds that would fly into the patio window and sit shocked. Worked on my dog and massage also. Then later in life I did get Reiki attunement with a Reiki Master. I found that the power increased from the attunement. I am now doing more distant healing. Someone asked me what the "Reiki view on depression" is. FIrst, I'm going to tell you that I'm a licensed psychologist in New Jersey (#4738) and if anyone experiences depression, the first thing to do is seek a licensed person for treatment. That said, we can assume two things. 1) Depression is something no one wants to experience 2) Therefore being depressed is nothing that a person in an optimal state of physical, emotional and spiritual health should be experiencing. Reiki should help.

I learned Reiki by accident when I was 14. I didn't realize there was a name for it until today. I'm 28 now. It just feels nice to know that I'm not weird being able to do this. It feels like a ball of energy swirling in a circle between your palms. You can make it bigger or smaller, and you can actually feel it keeping your hands from touching and pushing them apart, depending on how big or small you make it. It's kind of funny that they animate it eerily accurately in animes like Dragonball Z. (But unlike anime, you can't use it to fight.) : P

Thank-you, when I held open my hands I felt gratitude for my dearest Nana, whom have given and loved me so much. I called in her spirit and Reiki, I felt warmth and love immediately afterward on my hands and in my arms. I sent peace and healing to her and I could see the energy go to her apartment. Super great, will continue to use to help heal global issues like ending poaching of wildlife.

I think that's a great idea. My dog was hit by a car a couple years ago, and since her death was so sudden, it's always felt unresolved as I never got to say goodbye. I even blamed myself for not saying goodbye to her that morning as I left for work, telling myself I'd give her love when I got home - and her sad face as I left the house was the last I saw of her. I'll try to concentrate on her energy as I'm learning Reiki. I hope it can help me find closure.

repeating this prayer to God for at least 20 minutes exposes evil spirits. "Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me a sinner," The Jesus prayer burn demons. They will likely get violent and start swearing at you. ignore them and keep going repeating the prayer. They will eventually be pushed out . When one receives reiki, a spirit is invited into the body. To make the person seem well, it rests. In a few days it will torment the soul again calling it to use more reiki. The prayer above will prove this to you, by the way they react.

as a Reiki practitioner of 20 years and Master of 3 years this is not how you teach reiki. Reiki is the universal life force we have around us. why would you want to only spend 10 minutes learning something so remarkable, Reiki master in Japanise is Reiki Teacher, Meditation is one thing and Reiki attunment is another. This is not Reiki attunment and will give calm feeling because ofcourse feeling gratetude will make you feel good, there are more things than one that can make you fell calm and good. But its not the foundation of being attuned into Reiki. Reiki is channeling the reiki energy for yourself and for others. He might mean well but this is not Reiki. This is meditation and breathing exercises that have its value but is not REIKI.

However I did feel the Reiki energy come when I called it, with gratitude the energy went through my entire body and I could see it go to the person I sent it to. I think this benevolent loving presences wishes for unconditional love for all and will come when requested with ease and grace, no complexity it is an omnipresent beautiful, unconditionally loving energy, for all sentient life. Feeling particularly receptive today, I decided to go to places on utube i have not visited. I'm here now. This has put a name on something I used to do as a kid but we just called it healing meditation. I have always been interested in and used to practice my bio-energy control. As a "late to the party" hippie, It has brought me much inner peace and good positive mood change over the years. I was initially taught meditation by what you would call an 'earth mama' that was indeed part of the flower child culture back in the 60-70's. Life got so busy that I simply forgot about it since free or personal time became scarce. Now that I am middle aged, I have once again realized that you don't get any "do overs" and inner peace and healing is part of daily living and not something that should be a luxury. I shall investigate more into the complete practice of Reiki.

life.is.complex because there is freedom of speech,and maybe when you see someone who is really sick and that person can be cured in a medical hospital and that person decides you use reiki and you see it does nothing for them,and that person dies. I pictured my wonderful boyfriend when he said to focus on someone/something that fills you with gratitude, and my hands were SO HOT instantly, it genuinely freaked me out. I'm a "woo woo" skeptic (crystals, tarot cards, rituals, etc) and I'm not at all religious anymore. But I've always believed in a sort of....vague energy in the world, which is why Reiki interests me so much. This is absolutely fascinating and I'm eager to learn more about this! Not the traditional Usui Reiki "attunement" I learned to offer 18 years ago but it works. I have always felt that the very meaning "Universal Energy" suggests that this was never meant as a "for profit" venture. Thank you for bringing this to people. You are a wonderful person

I paid money and got level 1, 2, and 3 attunements but the class was more like having fun, stories, some basics and was given a book to go study the symbols. I may have the attunements but only on paper which doesn't make me feel good considering the Reiki students who actually study to be attuned. This is very helpful for me. Thank you.
