I have taken a couple of sociology classes and even statistics and none of them were explained like this. This Gentleman is my Hero!

I took a course with Professor Willis Overton over 40 years ago and I suggest reading his papers beginning in the 1970s. His 1984 paper overarches this video (Overton was one of the founders of the North American Piaget Society) but you must read the references in that paper and the reference of the references" because there are no shortcuts to thinking this broadly about research (any kind of research). Abduction (pragmatist Charles Pierce) is something that also needs to be considered beyond deduction and induction. That all said, it's a good start add I'm going to use it as a supplement in a grad level, intro research methods course beginning January 2025. Well done, thanks for the video and idea of doing even more on my own for online courses.

Dr. Patton's information shared was insightful and invaluable for students that want to begin any advanced educational study. Additionally, his articulation of learning research theories in the video was understandable for all sets of individuals.
