Hi mate, I’m studying a certificate iv in drafting but I’ve noticed all job advertisements want 3-5 years experience. Any tips on how to get working? Or even set up a business?

Hey Mate, Yeah so you'd be looking for 'junior draftsperson' roles, it's a tricky job because it should really be set up like an apprenticeship. Someone with a cert 4 / diploma has so much to learn once they start working that it's usually worth it for companies to just go for more experienced applicants as it's a hard job to teach and most people are bad at teaching. Generally though a really good attitude and aptitude for learning can go a long way. All the best! Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions :)

@@RevitSmart I agree, prior to starting the course I was looking for a traineeship of sorts but was unsuccessful in finding one, I will keep on the look out though and if any opportunities come up in your business please let me know as I am based in Sydney 😊, awesome channel btw I think it’s going to go really well there aren’t many Australian CAD channels and your content is really good 👍
