awesome. All we need now is someone who transforms this into Anki cards spanish - english, preferrably with an example sentence.

I just discovered you. Your most recent videos are spoken at a speed much easier for me😮 but it is clear you have an approach worth following. Thank you so much for putting this list together. You are amazing!

Thanks a lot! The style of my new videos was born out of the need to simplify subtitle creation and translation. Nowadays I don’t write scripts, I write captions and then shoot the videos reading those captions. So I start with the end product in mind.

@@SpanishInput you are very innovative. I try to listen to you without reading the subtitles. You speak so clearly, and in recent videos, somewhat more slowly. So I finish your videos feeling encouraged! I look forward to more and by the way I am now persuaded about the importance of listening well and learning in context. Your ideas are shaping my first steps to improve the Spanish I learned long ago.

I wanted to thank you and pay for that course (5000 most common words) but I had no other choice but to take it for free since I live in Russia and there is no possible way to pay for foreign resources on the internet with Russian cards,they are blocked. Recently I decided to learn Spanish,thank you very much for your advice and your valuable course

Does the list have the definitions of the words? How to I get your course and the flashcards? Thank you. I love your videos. I just found them today.
@SpanishInput
@SpanishInput 5 ай бұрын
Hi! Just like in English, every word can have several dozens definitions depending on context, so no definitions are included. The course is a work in progress and the first lessons are available in this channel as members-only videos. The first few flashcards are linked from the "Anki" lesson of the course.

Since I started learning Spanish a couple years ago, and have taken a number of different courses and methods, I was always worried that I was learning words that were not necessary. I wanted to focus only on what was important. How would I know if I should add a word to mu vocabulary list? This video is the first time I have an answer. Thank you very much, this makes perfect sense to me.

How do you suggest this list be used? Should it be memorized?
@SpanishInput
@SpanishInput 6 ай бұрын
Hi! Learning words from a list is not for complete beginners. If you already know some Spanish, it's best to go through the list looking for words you're not very clear about. Then look for example sentences on Tatoeba (Google it) or ask an AI chatbot for simple example sentences.

A lista é ótima, mas não seria bom agrupar as flexões verbais em apenas uma palavra? Ex. querer, queriendo, quiere, quieres, querían, não poderiam ser agrupadas apenas no verbo 'querer'?. Isso pode liberar espaço na lista para mostrar outras palavras que são usadas com mais frequencia e em contextos diferentes. En: The list is great, but wouldn't it be nice to group the verb inflections into just one word? Ex. querer, queriendo, quiere, quieres, querían, couldn't they be lumped just in the verb 'querer'?. This can free up space in the list to show other words that are used more frequently and in different contexts.

¡Hola! Gracias por la sugerencia. Estos son solo «datos crudos» (raw data) de subtítulos de películas. En el curso que estoy creando mostraré la relación entre diferentes formas del mismo lema.

This might be a stupid question, but the top 5000 words seems to include the word "puta" but NOT “tenedor" or "cuchara". Is it really possible that "puta" is more common in every day Spanish?
@SpanishInput
@SpanishInput Жыл бұрын
It depends on the situation. If you're with your coworkers/schoolmates you will hear it several times per day. If you only listen to newscasts you will almost never hear it.

I will be glad when informational videos stop pushing racial and cultural agendas with these unnecessary clips the like to insert. I know it sounds petty and off the subject, but I'm tired of the racial insensitivities every where, even when they are not needed. Why is it always the black woman with natural hair with a white man? where is the blonde haired white woman with a black man or any other man? I'd like to just enjoy watching what I came to watch rather than have cultural agendas shoved down my throat. Do unto others... a black guy who's sick of it. I'll just stop right here.
