Finished the basic course a few weeks ago. I still review it and complement it with these additional lessons . Can’t recommend the basic course enough; I moved to Spain 18 months ago and it has helped me so much.

I have a question. What is the key to determine to use subjunctive verb? You said that if the sentence is positive “Es que quiero gastar tanto” you don’t use subjunctive. And the sentence is negative, “No es que quiera faster tanto” And then, the first part was “No se si” so why not subjunctive verb like tenga, quiera, etc next?

Hello, so only when it's a negative sentence, a subjunctive verb should be used. For positive sentences, subjunctive verbs will not be used, correct? Thank you.

No. The verbs don't change for masculine and feminine.
