I appreciate Spanish with Paul so very much. I am taking lessons through Memrise and Duolingo and this is my sixth month -- I am an 87-year-old retiree and am doing this to keep brain active. I have learned a lot with Paul on KZbin which I watch daily on my TV with Roku. I never thought I would get it without a classroom or teacher but with all this special help from Paul, it is becoming clearer by the day! I'm in Mexico now, in an excellent Spanish language School 9 hours a week. This morning I knew I had to finally buckle down, clean up the place and do all the crap that's no fun. So I finally put on a Spanish with Paul level two video while I was working, figuring that it would be nothing but the most elementary stuff we covered in the first week or two of class. I was stunned to find out how much I learned of really useful morsels in everyday speech that I somehow never got or we never covered in school. I'm hooked now and will be listening to these lessons over and over whenever I clean or have tasks that I dislike. I loved every minute of it.

I feel like this is better than Rosetta Stone. I never knew Ver was said same as Bear. Never knew V in Spanish is pronounced like English B. Good stuff for sure. Also I noticed my brain working better from learning Spanish

Besides his perfect teaching style, I love the fact that he doesn't plaster his face all over the video like so many others do. It's more about listening to the language than seeing someone else speak. I can listen to the videos without having to watch the screen, hence practicing my listening skills.

For years, I watched Spanish telenovela and began to understand bits and pieces of the words, especially if they spoke slowly. I also dance Latin dances and in love with the songs. As a dancer it is better to understand the language to be able to express it in moves. So, I decided to take up the language. However, after going through a few courses, I abandoned them because I still couldn't understand the lyrics, even after diligently spending time each day to studying. Amazingly, after going through 2 of these videos on this channel, I COULD UNDERSTAND THE LYRICS OF A SPANISH SONG! Paul constructed the grammar according to how a Spanish speaker would speak them and it made a lot of sense to me and with the small vocabulary I have, I was able to piece out the meaning of the lyrics. I was so happy! It was like a whole new world opened up for me. Now what I need to do is just to ramp up on my vocabulary and I think I can start speaking - albeit slowly - with my Spanish speaking friends. Thank you Paul!

I started with Paul's free Mini Course #6 to see how i liked it, then I did his free Mini Course #1 a few days ago and just totally blew away a co-worker today who is a native Spanish speaker. Last she knew i could only say a few basic words, but today i was able to make complete compound sentences and tell her what i can and cannot do, what i have to do (Tengo que), and that i have to do it (tengo que hacerlo) and even threw out a few sentences using "salir" and puedo from Paul's course......... she was like wtf happened and how did i learn this all so fast... so needless to say here i am about to start mini #2 and keep it moving. I printed Paul's pdf notes but also watched #1 a second time and hand wrote all the notes down in a notebook, then made up a index card with all the best parts i gleaned from the #1 course. This is hands down the best way to get fluent fast in Spanish, but i will say it is a little monotone and not the most exciting, "unless" you are super motivated and hungry for results like i am...... with that being said, vamos!!!!!!!

I thought I was the only one to write all my notes down into a notebook but it's nice to know I'm not alone in that department. Yes, the repetition is a bit monotonous but it also reinforces each block in my memory sooner. I'm glad you're progressing so fast.

This is great! I took 3 years of Spanish in high school and one class in college. I'm not even close to being fluent. I've been using duo lingo for over a year and while my vocabulary is getting better, forming sentences is not. There's something about these courses that seems to really help it stick! Thank you!

Pauls' program is by far the second strongest way that I've come across to learn how to SPEAK Spanish. (Not REPEATING PHRASES). But I'm LEARNING WORDS and THINKING ability to formulate these words into a SPOKEN thought.

I am a visual learner so it it so much easier for me to grasp being able to see the words, especially when you don't know if it's one word or two. He has a calming, soft voice that is very clear. He repeats the words throughout the video and I was really surprised he incorporated words from the first lesson, which was wonderful. '

Paul, This is my second year in your full course. I love it and I have tried a lot of others courses that no doubt were helpful but your courses are the best out there. I love the way you talk through how you do translations and grammar. You teach the learner how to think logically and process it systematically. I am a huge fan. I had to come on here to give my review on this course I am taking with Paul. I have been trying to learn Spanish for years and I kept watching youtube videos and downloading free apps to help. I decided to actually pay for this course after watching one of Paul's youtube videos and boy I am glad I did. Paul has a very smooth voice and he explains the contents very well. He starts from the beginning and build upon as he goes through the course. He makes it so simple to learn and understand; if a chapter is difficult for you to understand, you can always reply. I would recommend if you really want to learn Spanish try this course.

I'll have to get your full course. This is the only tactic that helps me. I really need to learn spanish. I have a bangtan fan friend who speaks no English. She's my first kfan friend and she means a lot to me. We were able to speak about music and memes with google translate for a while, but lately shes trusted me alot and has been opening up to me about her mental and social difficulties. How she's having a hard time learning English. How shes an American citizen but her family stayed in Mexico. How shes been bullied and called stupid by the people around her who speak Spanish because she speaks no English. How she pretends to be happy so nobody bothers her, asking whats wrong. It's really important I learn as fast as i can. Shes my best friend, and if I have an opportunity to learn spanish fast, help her study english, and converse with her about her issues, I'm taking it. You've given me that opportunity, Paul. Thank you.

I have completed lesson 1 yesterday and I spent the day with a spanish friend today; I was able to build simple phrases but I was able to express myself quite cleary and being understood!! I have never been able to say anything in spanish before. She was impressed by the progress I made in only one lesson and so was I!! I've just finished lesson 2 and can't wait to move on the next ones as the way you're teaching is so interesting, useful and easy to follow. Can't get enough of it! Fue muy bueno (un gusto). What I like about Paul's approach is that he incorporates what was learned in the past, so while you are learning new things, you don't forget the ones before and remember how to put them together. Others simply throw in a bunch of words to you that you don't remember.

I like that the lessons are a combination of not just exercises but listening. This helps me because i may know Spanish words, but to hear them in action together can be confusing if you dont actively do listening practice. It is a more complete way of learning the language. This is great teaching and much appreciated. I lived close to the boarder for 43 years and picked up some Spanish on construction jobs, I know many of the bad words, and can understand the general idea of the conversation, sometimes.
